And some people think that he can replace Iniesta!

I think he can replace Iniesta, sure. Why do you find it funny? Spain is clearly far from its best a few weeks ago. . . It had one of the best qualifications process ever and suddenly they are playing a 4-2-3-1 that is not making much sense and finding it hard to beat Iran.

Unless of course you think yesterday's game was a good one which, tbh, none seems to agree with.

So again, if you don't mind, why do you find it funny?

I found it funny, because as you said after that Ineista is a player that can't be replaced. He is a player with characteristics that mean you can't really think about anybody else doing something similar. When someone like that is leaving your team, you have to find or create some other thing in the team to balance the situation on the pitch. What Iniesta gives you, you're not going to get from any other player.

Guardiola and Valverde said that they learner a lot from him for the midfield play. That means something. While i'm not going to talk about for their skills on the pitch, the biggest difference between them (which Thiago can never be close to him) is the strong mental game of Iniesta. Definitely a once in a life time player. Just like Zidane, Beckenbauer, Cruyff etc..

Yes. A handball (I think, not paying much attention).

Still though, it's not just about VAR. This is too much... surely in other world cups there weren't this many controversial decisions that are now being picked up by VAR.

I am sure that this world cup has already set the record for most penalties (not counting shootouts) and probably for most own goals too.

And Argentina were denied a clear one against Iceland IMO. Probably they didn't want Messi to miss again.

Maltese TV just confirmed that one of Australia's subs has a Maltese grandmother.

According to ramsej's views he is Maltese and should be representing us.
