They have a bad reputation for pronunciation, so there's quite some sarcasm in there.

I remember watching Bayern vs Chelsea and a 19 year old Schweinsteiger came on. The commentator said "The player with the number 31 has come on for Bayern who's name I'm unable to pronounce"

He didn't even try!

Thiago is kept on the bench again and a 34 year old who'll be playing in Japan next season is starting ahead of him.

The goalkeeper was in his half. Basically the Spanish could have started the match if no Portuguese players were in the Spanish half. Had that last player also left the pitch, then there would have been one Portuguese player on the pitch, the goalkeeper, and he'd have been in his own half, and Spain could have been allowed to kick off.

Completely made up story. Something that spurred out on social media and was finally cataloged out by the IFAB as "pure coincidence and an imaginary story".

Furthermore, the IFAB clearly stated that the "rules are clear" referring to rule 8 which clearly states that not only does the last scorer needs to be back on his own half before kick off, his entire team needs to be there as well before the game can resume.

Not a coincidence though - they did it again!

Bottom line: we've come to a point where FIFA **** up the rules so mich no one even knows what they are anymore...
