The - comparably few - Bayern players who went to the tournament all had abysmal performances... Utter utter shit!
Bayern - just like the German NT - is finished!

Who are your top teams?
Spain? Draw
Portugal? Draw
Argentina? Draw
Brazil? Draw
Colombia? Loss
Poland? Loss
Germany? Loss
France? Win off a penalty and own goal vs a team who almost everyone regarded as one of the worst in the tournament.
Belgium? Win vs literally the worst team in the tournament...

So....I guess the only top team right now is....England??

Number of players from other teams performed... Bayern players haven’t in months

Oh, so we're moving the goalposts from "top team" to "Well look at the Bayern players" now. I see...
So, which "number of players from other teams" are you talking about??
Messi? Poor
Kroos? Poor
Neymar? Poor
Salah, Navas, Suarez, Iniesta, Dembele? Poor
Gabriel Jesus, Rojo, Mascherano, Di Maria, Cuadrado, Falcao, Walker, Stones, Dele Allí, Sterling, Rashford? Poor.

So, who? Ronaldo, Harry Kane, and Denis Cheryshev, I guess?

2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Postby #12 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 9:27 pm

I didn’t move no post, you just didn’t get my intention after my first post...

Well, look at who they played? Our wannabe striker is the bitch of... Senegal

Our oh so great defense is a bigger party for the Mexicans than the one they had before the tournament...

Müller didn't even play did he?

True, others were poor, too, but Japan, Senegal, Mexico and Australia are definitely not better than Switzerland, are they? The only one who played a team as "bad" as those is Messi... Spain played the European Champs (physically hurts me to say that)...

Bit that’s not even the big issue I have... We had WAY more players in the 2014 tournament... Not only that, they were mostly starters and impact players...

Yeah, no, this is moving the goalposts (again), as was the last one....

First: "Where are the top team guys? Bayern and Germany aren't a top team"
Second: "Okay well PLAYERS from other teams performed, Bayern players haven't"
and now: "Okay well I can't list any other players from other teams who performed but WHAT ABOUT THESE BAYERN PLAYERS, HUH GUYS???"

You honestly don't see the shift there? From TEAM to *other teams' players* to *Bayern players* ?

Rossija Rossija ...

The group pairing should be abolished...
Fifa should adopt a draw after the group stages

No I don’t, cause I mentioned the players in the first post - maybe there was a shift from second to third... The point is: we have no players that can make a difference even against teams like Senegal, Japan and Mexico... So yeah, top teams consist of top players... Top players trash inferior players/teams...

Well Done Russia! =D>

I really love the way teams like Russia and Iceland defend with none of that play out of the back bullshit. Whenever under pressure or in doubt they just kick the ball as far away from their goal as possible. If only Bayern and Germany players would do the same!

Ramsej please let me enjoy this World Cup in peace and tranquility. Please...

Speaking of changes, in case FIFA has failed you once again (and they should have) with their ratings, do note the following.

Coming Moscow in July, FIFA ranking system (used as the seeding criteria during draws) now uses an internal formula based on a national team's performance after 30 matches. That system will take a somewhat considerable change. Right after Russia FIFA is moving its ranking system to match that of ELO (eloratings.net) and one which gives more weight to the relative rankings between the teams in a match rather than the importance of the match itself (FIFA's ranking system gives higher ratings to competitive matches as opposed to friendlies.)

So if anyone is still scratching their heads as to how 60 something FIFA ranked Russia is kicking butt out there after coming in with one of the lowest rankings (if not the lowest one); ELO ranked them at 33rd place.

Just say'n.

The goalkeeper was in his half. Basically the Spanish could have started the match if no Portuguese players were in the Spanish half. Had that last player also left the pitch, then there would have been one Portuguese player on the pitch, the goalkeeper, and he'd have been in his own half, and Spain could have been allowed to kick off.

Completely made up story. Something that spurred out on social media and was finally cataloged out by the IFAB as "pure coincidence and an imaginary story".

Furthermore, the IFAB clearly stated that the "rules are clear" referring to rule 8 which clearly states that not only does the last scorer needs to be back on his own half before kick off, his entire team needs to be there as well before the game can resume.

Hrrrmmm OK, but try this: what happens if, after conceding a goal, a player runs out of the stadium and goes home? Do they keep waiting for him indefinitely?
