Let me answer you.
I would have supported France if...
Their opponents were:
England
Brazil
Spain
Argentina
Italy(n/a)

Had it been Belgium Uruguay or Japan I would have supported them against France.

It’s such bullshit. I believe strongly in nations, in that I probably disagree with some of you more left wing types. But as an American I believe the foundation of a nation is shared common culture, not race, and the nation is supposed to stand for and defend values. The racism against the French players pisses me off.

And further I am quite happy for Tolisso.

France are the greatest team to have ever won the World Cup. We should all feel privileged and honored to be witnessing this majestic team in all its glory and living in this era of their dominance where they play football of the highest quality.

Btw you can have your glorious leader back now.

Really weird final in reality the referee giving a pen after needing to view it so often is not a "clear/obvious" error. Thought Croatia minus their lets be honest dreadful goalkeeper were the better side and unlucky today. Was a dive by Griezmann for the first goal from the free kick as well. No surprise neither keeper got the golden glove after their performances today.

I'm happy for Tolisso and unhappy with how the game panned out and unhappy for Mandzu as i still appreciate what he did for Bayern no politics involved whatsoever.

Nope, it wasn't a dive. That is the wrong angle. First replay they showed during the match, was that one and I also thought it was a dive. But there is another replay showing the foul from a different angle. It shows there was contact with Griezmann's foot. It was a foul.

Yes political, cultural and social reasons.

For such a team to defeat the European inspirational Croatians is especially difficult to swallow. As a Native European I would have preferred an Argentina, Japan or Senegal to win than this.

I will take a step back from the sport for a bit. The disappointment of this event goes deeper than simply athletics.

If stupid politcal things make you want to stop watching the sport you supposedly love then you need help.

This sort of racist shit always seems to come out when international football is on. Thank goodness It's over and we can go back to supporting Bayern

Political things are certainly why I stopped watching the NBA and NFL. Sport is for pleasure afterall. I can choose to spend this time running, biking or hiking instead.

I am reaching my mid-30s so I am older than most the players on the field. Naturally my interest is declining. I think it will increase once I need a simple escape from family life.

Unfortunately football as a sport stopped being so in the late 90s...

International football is also on the decline.

Kaiser Franz had predicted this decades ago.

Just look at Brazil for instance, where is that samba football that they had accustomed us?
Most of the players play in Europe, they know each other inside out... so everything is getting predictable and boring.

Glad this is finally over... as for the National football I keep hoping that my country improves and that's it.

Watch at 1:40. There is contact. Griezmann did fall easily but every other player would have done the same.

At 1:40 it shows Griezmann was already on the way down BEFORE the contact.
Basically, Griezmann was fouled whilst diving
