There was even open talk from the ECA some years ago regarding a Super League if UEFA didn't improve the conditions governing the CL. I'm sure there's a smoking gun beyond the mere idea of wanting to create a fixed super league; else I don't know what all he fuss' about.

No, you aren't missing.

It's not about being bad or good. It's about much bigger picture; moral in the sport, football as sport or as money factory and things like these.

This whole "allegations" story is completely irrelevant. It's about being clear and honest or fishing in suspicious, blurry waters. They don't like to be labelled as the second one, they want to sell their product by just pointing on the look of a box outside, certainly not about the content inside of the box.

We have been seeing this marketing for the last 18 years and it's nothing new to us except the fact this is just a new level.

Werden mal sehen Ultras, was in der Zukunft mit dem Verein passiert wird.

Still too early to say anything, but we'll see where this whole thing in football is going to stand and what will one part of fans decide to do.
I wish so much to see a European Superliga asap, consequences and results of creating that competition on whole football world.
Maybe the rest of the football Europe might finally start breathing way easier in domestic competitions and cups as well as European competitions.

Well, it’s moot anyway... They way this club is developing and we’re playing we‘d be relegated back in no time...

Hahaha. I was thinking about this myself. Wonder if when they first were starting their Super-league proposals if they'd ever anticipated being in the position we're in right now in 2018.

Although I have to wonder. Maybe getting in a Super-league with other big clubs and getting the sh*t kicked out of us would finally be enough to make them realize that they were wrong every time they said "We don't have to do things like other big clubs, we are very successful doing things our way".........

Not that surprised from the guy who has long had that suspicious look to me. He's also been accused of rigging the CL draws in the past.

ramsej84 wrote:who else think that many world cups were corrupted ?

1934 Mussolini (Hitler was not a football fan cause otherwise I am sure that at lest the would have won one as well) :)
1938 Mussolini
1966 no comments
1978 Argentina and their dictatorship
1990 the Unification of Germany and the non existant penalty...
1998 France (Platini) and the ghost of Ronaldo#9

come to my mind...
Coming from someone who has Italian heritage, I'll admit that the '34 world cup was quite sketchy and questionable(As it was hosted in Italy under Mussolini). But I would say that the Italian's won the '38 World Cup fair. I mean the only moment during the 1938 world cup when Mussolini was relevant is when he ordered the team to enter the pitch in all black Jersey's(Mussolini's Facist Color) against the French in the quarter-finals. Apparently Mussolini did this just to slap the French crowd in the face as they were all booing and jeering the Italian's. But can we really call that corruption? And as far as the "win or die" telegram goes, I think it was just a made up hoax in my opinion.
