Coming from someone who has Italian heritage, I'll admit that the '34 world cup was quite sketchy and questionable(As it was hosted in Italy under Mussolini). But I would say that the Italian's won the '38 World Cup fair. I mean the only moment during the 1938 world cup when Mussolini was relevant is when he ordered the team to enter the pitch in all black Jersey's(Mussolini's Facist Color) against the French in the quarter-finals. Apparently Mussolini did this just to slap the French crowd in the face as they were all booing and jeering the Italian's. But can we really call that corruption? And as far as the "win or die" telegram goes, I think it was just a made up hoax in my opinion.ramsej84 wrote:who else think that many world cups were corrupted ?
