I'm angry with Lewa and with the goalkeepers and defenders who voted a forward ahead of him. This was the best chance in years to finally get defensive players recognized. And what do they do? For whatever reason they vote a forward ahead of him.

And I hope that Lewa vote won't have any repercussions on the team.

Let's swap him for Benzema, Benzema said good stuff about Neuer.

Shameful result but it's not fair to crucify Lewy because of this. And I don't think he is looking for a "bigger club" next time as he is already committed for his better years with us, and could have gone to Madrid in the 2013 summer.

I hope you are right, but I would not be surprised to see him head somewhere else in 3 years or so.

The goalkeepers didn't want to vote for Neuer because of ego? That's what i could think about... sad... :(

We couldn't even get a vote from our teammate. And he has not 1, but 2 but 6 to choose from but he chose ronaldo. #-o

Not to pep: Transfer window is still open.

WTF our captain thinks Bale is the best player in the world.
Our journalist voted Ronaldo, Neuer, Pogba.
Our coach (surprisingly an Italian) voted Gotze, Muller, Robben. =D>

Apparently he just said that to a German reporter (didn't hear it myself, just saw it quoted in another forum):

"Herr Neuer, Ronaldo ist eben Weltfussballer geworden. Was halten Sie von ihm?"
"Ich halte sehr viel von ihm, fast alles."

How do I translate this so you get the joke?

"Was halten Sie von ihm" = in this context "halten" means "what do you think of him"
"Ich halte sehr viel von ihm" - "halten" in this context means saving shots.

"Mr Neuer, Ronaldo has just been elected World Footballer. What do think of him?"
"I save a lot of his shots, almost everthing."

Classic Neuer, almost up there with the drug test quote.

He did vote for Neuer and Schweinsteiger as second and third choice respectively.
But it doesn't matter anyway, we ask a striker to score goals, not to butter his teammates up, and I will go further by saying he got all my respect because he voted to the best of his knowledge and belief unlike the majority who voted for their friends and acquaintances.

Why didn't North Korea vote... so Rooney would've gotten a vote.

How do you know that? Maybe he's secretly in love with CR...
