Still, I had dreamed once long time ago, some 15-16 years ago about a great season squad, squad depth, master field display, top performances, success and that all happened in 2012/2013 and it existed in 2013/2014 but modified.

Oterao si Hamesa i Gorecku?

Poor Arp would never get to play next to Jović and Lewandowski.

I doubt he'd even play next to Jovic and Zirkzee.

Aha. I Renata Sanchesa.

The Colombian is going back to Real Madrid anyway and we should look for a new 10, new 6 and new 6+8 midfielders next summer. Goretzka is ridiculous since he can't defend like Martínez and Tolisso looks better and faster than him. That's how I imagine Bayern from 2020/2021, maybe not with all these players who should be ours, but at least in that direction.

Arp won't play here anyway because our coaches don't promote and push young players in the senior team.
Sign Jović and make use both Lewandowski and Jović in Bundesliga matches against weaker opponents.
I'm tired of 1 striker thing in the Bundesliga.
Florian Kohfeldt and Marco Rose prefer to play 4-3-1-2 with 2 strikers and damn high pressing. We could also use that and 3-5-2 near our standard 4-2-3-1/4-2-1-3. What's the purpose of versatile players if the team and playing style can't be versatile...

Well, I'd rather get Sane but I think that far exceeds our ambitions/budget

Good option, but I think if James leaves we need someone who can also play as a #10 and doesn't completely rule out Havertz in the future.

I think basically an Ajax raid is our best bet at rebuilding.

Bayern of a future should be a hybrid of the new french & dutch wave with a german core. The key to all of this obviously is getting Ten Hag first.

If 4-2-3-1

-------------------Lewandowski------------------
Coman ------------Tolisso/Goretzka ------Pepe
---- Thiago/VanDeBeek --- VanDeBeek/Goretzka
Alaba ------------------------------------------- Kimmich
------ ---------------Lucas -- de Ligt----------------------

If 3-4-3
Coman -------------Lewandowski-----------------Pepe
Alaba -----------Thiago----------Tolisso------------- Kimmich
------ --- Pavard-------Lucas -- de Ligt----------------------
----------- ---------------Neuer ----------------------------

If 3-4-2-1
----------------------Lewandowski------------------
------Van De Beek/Gnabry -------Muller/Pepe
Alaba -----------Thiago----------Tolisso------------- Kimmich
------ --- Pavard-------Lucas -- de Ligt----------------------

In:

Lucas (€80M)
De Ligt (€70M)
Pavard (€35M)
Van De Beek (€40M)
Pepe (€50M)
Neres/Ziyech (€40M)
- €315M

good one ! I like it ! we need good and young players who have the desire and motivation to play like there is no tomorrow...that's the right way to go now ...football has become too energy intensive ...a lot of matches , players get down much faster ! above 30 most of them are finished ...look at Ajax ...went through Real and Juventus who have some old players like nothing happened !

Good line-up, except I'm missing the "german core" here.
At least Havertz and/or Sané should be a priority, should they become available. Even if it's only next summer.

My bad, I should re-phrase that - I meant to say people from the Bayern school especially in the past decade - not necessarily German by nationality. I know we are going through a downturn right now but I do not want to negate the knowledge transfer & lessons that this generation has gained

- from the dortmund domination and flipping that
- to playing under Jupp & Guardiola
- to the semi-final exits
- to the training & practice malfunctions of Ancelotti.

There is a lot of knowledge there for players like Alaba, Thiago, Kimmich, Neuer, Muller & Lewandowski. I think Ten Hag being that he was here when Pep was around means there is shared knowledge there as well. - at the end of the day knowledge is power, especially knowledge from failures. I think it was Jordan who said that I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. I've failed over and over and over again. And that is why I succeed. I think it applies really well to the 'WC' leftover core we have from our last decade or so.

I wouldn't mind more German players but currently there are much better options in the new french & dutch waves of talent

I think VdB > Havertz / Brandt (even though I rate Brandt pretty highly).
Goes without saying that their are no German defenders that can match Lucas or De Ligt
Goes without saying that outside of Sane (which I believe is impossible) there are no wingers that can fill the void for us as well.
And we already got the highest potential german midfielder of the future in Goretzka.

I want to add to that that for e.g. bringing back players that we got rid off wrongfully - the most obvious one in my mind is Vidal - clearly, the guy can still play and I was very disappointed that we let him go.

I know he just extended and its not going to happen but I would be OK as an alternate to VdB getting a Kroos or a Vidal back who also bring with them a lot of experience & knowledge of playing at the big stages for the midfield.

Those two also fit under my idea of "Bayern school" and knowledge transfer from that - both Vidal & Kroos played under both Jupp & Pep basically.
