So, it's not Niko Kovač but Robert Lewandowski as he has been all these years the main reason we never had a real backup striker and sometimes Lewandowski's partner in attack.
That's a well-known fact and nobody ever asked Kovač anything about transfers just as it is seems quite likely at the moment that nobody will ask Herr Flick for anything regarding transfers.

Kovač is gone, but the same old mentality at Bayern has remained.

If not Werner, I would sign Piatek and use him sometimes in 4-4-2 with Lewandowski so the Bayern striker gets more space to breathe and become less isolated up front when he plays alone, but that's just my opinion.

He also cost us three valuable transfer windows and at least two seasons of stagnation or worse...

And reputation... But at least we’re funny huh?

IsiahRashad wrote:Hasan Salihamidžić on why Bayern decided against signing Timo Werner: "Timo Werner is a good player who played an excellent first half of the season. However, we have Robert Lewandowski. Robert is a striker who fits our style of play perfectly."

What is he smoking?
Lewandowski: 31 years old
Werner: 23 years old
Does he really think that Robert is going to be around for the next 10 years?
Style of play? Does he mean that we are going to play the same style for the next 10 years, with every coach, with every mix of players?

Look at recent CL winners: both Real Madrid and Liverpool changed drastically their style of play before lifting the trophy.

This guy needs to go.

We know that many fans also didnt want Werner and Kovač wishlist was well know and full of players for Frankfurt. Kovač was joke, but his bosses and expert fans are luckily still there.

Certainly does not make sense:

1) His release clause I am sure is around $60-70M. (I read £51.2m in a recent article, that's 60M)
2) Why would he go to ManU when Liverpool and Chelsea are interested?

How stupid must Salihamidzic be to make a public statement like that?
Why would you publicly make a negative comment on a potential future target? Does that improve your position?!!

What the hell are they doing in the scouting/transfer department at Bayern anyway?!! We are a team relying on loanees to complete the squad, and we do not seem to have a long term plan.

Salihamidzic behaves like a spoiled little brother who tries hard to play with the big boys, makes a mess to attract attention but the big brother in this case KHR comes in to clean up his mess! Sane is still undone, handled CHO case absolutely terrible and now diminishes a potential next target like Werner playing style while he just extended with RBL and he is simply on fire this season. The re-build project is a nightmare, his statements are cringe-worthy while his only win is -maybe- Davies.

This guy not only survives the dismissal but gets promoted to the board, it's just crazy!

At this point, it appears the board is just filling in seats with shitty loyalists in order to keep their hold on power. The whole boards needs to get sacked.

On the other hand I can imagine him doing wonders partnering Lewa.
