Rudy who was left out on the stands because he wasn't robust enough defensively according to Jupp?
If Rudy is a DM, Thiago is a destroyer.

Eh....no. Rudy most closely resembles Thiago TBH who incidentally is our best "true DM".

Rudy would make a decent CB back up if needed

EXKLUSIV! Bayern-München-Star Rudy auf Geheimvisite bei RB Leipzig | LVZ

Rudy was spotted at Cottaweg in Leipzig on Friday, visiting the training center. Allegedly Bayern knew about the visit. Apparently there's more to these rumours than I thought.

Auf Wiedersehen, you looked good under Ancelotti, and you're a good player but not a great one.

James;
Thiago;
Coco;
Leon;
Javi;
Renato...

are the players that i would like to see in front of him, sorry.

If we are going to play with so much possesion i'm sure Kovac is going to use more mobile options in front of Javi (pretty much everyone else,except James), because Javi is useless when Bayern is with the ball. Thiago is good defender, Leon have games as CDM, Coco staying so deep is going to be waste because of his scoring, and i think Renato have the physical abilities to be one great DM..

Let's start, for example with..

Leon can sub Tolisso and Thiago.
Javi can sub Thiago.
Renato can sub Thiago and Coco.

Pretty much, it's complete. I think for 15m Rudy is going to play for Leipzig.

a bit OT but Leon>Tolisso, and he is NOT a DM. Though I agree that Rudy's at the bottom of the pecking order. With Alaba's injury, he might cover RB as Rafinha is moved to the left to rotate with Bernat.

Keita-Ersatz gefunden? Rudy auf Stippvisite in Leipzig [source]

Rudy could replace Naby Keïta at RB Leipzig. Rudy already visited Leipzig's training centre on Friday. A loan + option to buy for Rudy is conceivable.

Sky (TV) reported that Rudy is ready to take a cut of his basic salary and accept a more performance-dependent contract. Also reporting about a possible loan with an option to buy, because the biggest obstacle, according to the kicker article Ishad linked above, are FFP issues.

Didn't they get a windfall from Keita?

Didn't they get a windfall from Keita?

Part of the money is going to Salzburg due to a sell-on clause, part of it is used to pay back debt to Red Bull. 40m of the Keita money are for the transfer budget according to Mintzlaff. They've already spent 43m this window, and they're still trying to sign Lookman from Everton. I don't know how high the entire transfer budget is, but because they didn't qualify for CL, there can't be left much.

How come a random newly promoted PL team can spend 120M in transfers but a decent BL team that has just played CL can't spend half of that? :evil:

But same story again. If you are on a low budget, then FC Bayern is your place :)

Well, the random newly promoted PL team doesn't play in Europe and doesn't have to comply with FFP rules. And the random newly promoted PL team wasn't founded only 9 years ago.

It's also worth noting that a newly promoted PL team stands to make a LOT of money just by nature of being promoted. For example, Wolves reportedly made nearly €200,000,000 just by being promoted.
What's funny is that in addition to this the PL does "parachute payments" for teams who are relegated. Theoretically, a newly-promoted team like Wolves could be relegated again at the end of this season and they'd stand to receive two years' worth of "parachute payments" (provided they didn't get promoted again in those two years) worth nearly €100,000,000...

So, in some circumstances, it's feasible that even a relegated English team could outspend a decent BL team.
