Mandzukic is in Top form rigth now, and yes Gomez had a couple bad years with us but last year he was fantastic.

So unless Guardiola is thinking in playing 2 strikers (i really doubt this), this deal doesnt make any sense to me.

^ If Gomez is up for sale this summer then RM, City, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal(very few chances) could be the top contenders.
Dortmund too would be in need of one but I'm not too sure about it. Most probably City(with their rumoured overhaul) then Tottenham, if you put "who needs a striker" team first. :|
Who knows he might turn out to be part of exchange deal for Suarez/Falcao? :?: :?

So I wish this deal is a farce. I don't want him leaving us currently. What is Pep thinking? :o

To be honest, my preferred option would be a young and agile striker to be brought up behind Gomez and Mandzukic. But then again, where do you find those kinds of dudes these days? Germans? Hermann, maybe, and he ain't really a striker. Lasogga? Gomez 2.0, just like Petersen.

I think this might a bit tricky. Chelsea is not going to buy any strikers until they figure out who's going to coach them next season and Abramovich's faith in Torres is as big as his yacht. Back on topic, those due at Sky Italia people have one very good source... if rumours are true.

To note is that the rumour originated from Sky Italia, the same source that first came out with the Guardiola rumours. Perhaps they have an insider?

Either that or they just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.

Gomez will be the one leaving this summer, I'm pretty sure. I think he'll leave for around 40 million (sell that to Chel$ki and Man$hitty). We can get Lewandowski for 18mil. That's a bargain.

The way i see it, if he has to leave (Lewandowski) then it's best he leaves for us, but it's best in the long run even for us if he stays with Dortmund for the forseeable future. I don't know how popular this fact is, but the main reason Bayern is so strong right now is because Dormund was so strong the past couple of years (same goes for Real (Bayern) and Barca (Dortmund)). 2 very strong clubs in one league makes them so much better compared to the rest of Europe and we need to keep that contender in Dortmund.

Well, I'm sure if Lewa leaves they'll buy someone.
Didn't Klopp mention Dzeko and about pay-cut he'd have to take when he joins? I think Dzeko wouldn't mind it a bit.

Well Agüero has scored only 9 goals, so obviously their entire forward line needs a shakeup!

Mancini operates under ridiculous logic anyway. They should've gone all out for Martinez last season, for example, considering how depressingly bad their midfield is without Yaya Toure (and he's been underperforming for a while too now). Or get one decent wingback if you want to play that three man defense. But no, strikers. ALL THE STRIKERS.
