I was always pro-Neuer \:D/

I guess I fell in love after that magical night against Porto, and I've been in love since.

Adler of Leverkusen era was a human highlight on par with Neuer if not better at that time but his injury messed him for good and Neuer took a huge leap in every aspect of GK's game he improved to the maximum. His choice to play for HSV and a couple of injuries drag him down.
Even now I consider him talent-wise only behind Neuer & Ter Stegen. Much better than Trapp,Leno and maybe Baumann. If Adler would play for BVB for example he would look much much better IMO. His reflexes are nothing compared to his "prime" with Leverkusen though.

OFFICIAL | René Adler decides against renewing Hamburg contract
Goalkeeper René Adler has decided against renewing his Hamburg contract which is due to expire in June.

Although, Hamburg had offered the 32 year old a new contract but the former Germany international decided to look for a new challenge after five years with Die Rothosen

Sporting director Jens Todt said: “We respect René and his wish to move on from the club. He was one of the faces of the club for over five years.

“We thank him for his efforts in Hamburg colours and wish him all the best at his next club,” Todt concluded.

Adler joined Hamburg from Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

I was a huge fan of him.

But he's always been struggling with injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the chance to play due to a Neuer injury/suspension and manages to injury himself too

He was originally from Leipzig right? Any chance he ends up playing for RB ?
