Unless we cheap out and say we have Rudy as an alternative.

Rudy is so average as Rb. considering Bernat is not a solid alternative, we could go for a player who can play at both Fb's.

Noooooo! Who is going to sprint half of the pitch to a fight and escalate it now? Ribery is retiring. The only one left would be Boateng. :( He needs to teach Kimmich before he leaves.

I think i was right:

Can't see tweet? Click here!

Lincoln: "We'll talk about it with Bayern in the first or second week of December. It's Rafinha's intention and Rafinha's desire to go, and that matters a lot, because he has always been an exemplary professional and gets on well with everyone at Bayern. We understand that this decision is not easy for Bayern because they have no substitute for him. But we hope negotiations won't be complicated because Rafinha has always given his best for this club and always acted as a professional."

Will be painful if he left and didn't made it to the WC.

When Lahm retired he gave some statements claiming it was his time now. Kimmich development threw a rock under his wheels and now wants to leave. Understandable, but I don't think we can allow him to unless Rudy really can play as a backup RB.

Didn't Tolisso play RB at one point in his career too? I feel like I remember that....

This sounds weird considering that Rafinha is almost as old as Lahm

We can sell him to Palmeiras if they secretly promise to sell us Luan Cândido when he turns 18.

If he really begs us to leave, then I see no problem at all and I think he deserves to have his last chance to play the World Cup

It's not gonna be a big loss at all. He's a good crosser but he's a liability in defense. He can start against average/decent teams, but I wouldn't trust Rafinha as RB/LB against the big guns

Raf has actually been quite good defensively the past two years, but in whatever case, regardless of how you rate him....I think most of us would agree he's a better backup fullback than Rudy or Tolisso or...nobody. Haha.
But I agree that if he wants to go we should allow him to do so. I think he's more than earned it.

I think he's been especially poor in defense this year. I rate him as a good backup, but I wouldn't feel less safe with Rudy playing RB in an emergency

But I do agree we will need a replacement rather sooner than later
