Speaking on BBC Radio 5, Honigstein said, “when Pep Guardiola was at Bayern, Coutinho was the one player from the Premier League they really wanted to take.” However, the Bavarians did not get him because they knew they’d have to pay an outrageous transfer fee, one they were not prepared to spend. [source]

I would welcome him in Bayern. His current net salary in Barca is 11,232,000m per year (216 000 per week), which in Bayern will put him just behind Lewandowski, but I don't care, we need a big name out there.

With all due respect, why sign Coutinho? Barcelona wants to offload him, he'll cost 80M for sure and he is not a winger but a classic soft #10 with great technique, we had James and didn't keep him why sign the Brazilian James for a double fee?? I'm all for a nice smooth-passer who can penetrate but without good wings ain't much of an improvement plus that I'd take Havertz over him. Getting Sane though AND Coutinho that changes everything.

Practically Coutinho had only one good year with LFC from then he is an underachiever with glimpses of brilliance. James copy/paste situation. I prefer getting both Bergjwin & Ziyech for the same amount rather getting Coutinho. Plus of course a midfielder who plays deeper.

He'd be alright as a creative LCM in a 433.
But we need 2 real wingers first, so unless we get that and Coutinho is available for a low price, this would be a totally unnecessary transfer.

Two real wingers is a long-shot for Bayern.
Whatever... maybe I'm extremely disappointed since I don't see how we can truly strengthen our squad anymore.
