We're going round in an off-topic circle. My point was that when English clubs wanted the same player as Bayern, Bayern won in most cases. Whether or not De Bruyne is an exception doesn't change the jist of the argument. Bayern shouldn't fear the Premier League too much. Yes, they will likely raise transfer fees, but we can lure them from a sporting aspect.

Thats exactly the point though, we can match transfer fees its just we never really have in any bidding war ever. Point is if we we're willing to match Woflsburgs evaluation KDB would be at Bayern today. His agent confirmed this months after the transfer. There has to be a change in philosophy we cant rely on finding Douglas Costa's and Coman's for ever. KDB was the perfect example of a player in our backyard that is an absolute star that we let slip over a difference of what? 10 15mill euro transfer fee? even if its 20 thats nothing going forward

and to get back on topic, if theres a bidding war we need to be all in for this kid is the round about point im making.

De Bruyne couldn't come with Goetze here, simple as that... Di Marzio reported that Bayern had reached an agreement with with VfL and KDB but Goetze was part of the deal which Goetze refused, the deal fell off in the final days... How come would an Italian be aware of that? Maybe because Juve were interested in Goetze as well.

Dont make such a fuss about KDB. He's good, but not a can't miss player. He wasn't even what we needed. We needed wingers not yet another player for the Müller position.

There is little chance that any of those sides will be able to buy the France under-21 international at a knockdown price, however, as it appears media reports of a relatively cheap release clause are wide of the mark.

"When I read that I said to myself 'this is a joke,'" Dembele's agent Badou Sambague told 20 Minutes.

"To also tell me that the club employing Ousmane and myself might not be aware of the existence of an imaginary document shocked me.

"I'm also disappointed because I have the impression that people are trying to destabilise the boy.

"But since he's very stable and very intelligent... the goal is to ignore everything that it is said in the press."

Dembele only signed his first professional contract last October. The deal runs until the summer of 2018 and Rennes president Rene Ruello also suggested that it does not contain a get-out clause.

"To my knowledge, there is none," he told Ouest France.

Him and a Young center back, and possibly a prosperous right back....would be such an awesome transfer window. TBH i am not as keen on Gotze anymore, after seeing him play recently I just dont see him giving it what he has.
Bayern for life, I just want to see at least one game...thats all I ask

Roma signs so many players but the only ones actually shining there are the defensive signings. Dembele would not fit in Serie A.
