We have Thiago, Lewandowski and Kimmich.

They have... Pogba?

We got Thiago and Lewandowski AGES ago, and Kimmich was far from a top player when he joined!

Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku?!

Again, I'm not saying they necessarily all turned out better than ours but they were way more en vogue... Which is my point: the discussion was about club pull in the first place - so it’s ridiculous to act like we were any better than that, I still think a player like DeLigt has at least as many reasons to go there as to go to Munich...

Well, apart from the big mess that ManU currently is, they will not even play CL football next season. And as it stands now, it will be pretty hard for them to make the Top 4 next year too.

So no. It would not make much sense going there.

Can't see tweet? Click here!

I'm sure he decided to move in Spain.
We're seeing these reports a lot lately - Raiola is trying to milk them waaaay to much, and as we know Barca still need to spend big on couple of other positions.

At the end of the day, I think that he's still going to end up in Barca.

I don't think we'll splash huge amounts on another defender this window.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Bayern are not going to sign de Ligt, at least not this summer. The combination of his big transfer fee, agent fee and salary make it impossible for Bayern to sign him this summer. We've already spent a lot on center backs and we urgently need attacking players. I think Bayern have made Sané their number 1 target because we desperately need a player like him. At the moment we don't really need de Ligt even though I'm a very big fan of him. The board decided to go elsewhere and I think we've addressed our defensive problems with Pavard and Lucas.

I believe Barcelona are losing the grip on de Ligt. Barca have financial problems with the development of Camp Nou, spiraling salaries and the huge transfer fees they've spent in the last two summer windows. I believe a Premier League club will come in a steel him away from Barca.

Not sure that we do not need De Ligt. Who do we have besides Sule? Hernandez, a little older could settle well paired with Sule but for many reasons I believe De Ligt still have a lot of room to grow and become probably one of the best central defenders of all times. All the factors are there. Pavard is a question mark. Nobody knows for sure how well a Bayern jersey will fit on him, for the most part he has been a liability on the back for Stuttgart, but Stuttgart sucks, the only reference is France and there he plays mainly as fullback and he is average if you ask me. I do discount him becoming a good replacement for Rafinha as fullback with the option to play on the center when a starter is injured or suspended, nothing more.
In summary, I am not sold on the idea that are defensive problems are solved, consider also that we do not have a defensive midfielder by trade going into the future, unless that Kovač's idea is to move Kimmich to the center which we all know is an aberration.
