Yeah, I think he does if you spend 80 million on him... Of course he's "well known", that doesn't change it though.

Even the kids know his game style and his strengths. The biggest weakness is that he's fouling too often, and because he is with excellent dribble sometimes he's leaving his position trying to get past couple of players.

But i guess, Brazzo cannot understand this from the youtube videos.
And his height.... imo is also a weakness...unless he jumps high (like Ivan Ramiro Cordoba)

The way MARCA is dealing with this really indicates there has to be something. They have made a fool of themselves in the past especially with Real and Barça transfers, but they don't usually put other team's news in the front page and this just came out of nowhere.

They can create some BS rumours sometimes, but they will not put them in the front page.

It seems that they got the info from someone very close to either Lucas or Atletico.

Sounds like our general MO
- Rangnick or ten Hag in!
- Bring a DM, a winger (Sané) and Havertz!
- Get a REAL sports director (Rangnick?)!
- Keep Hoeness and Rummenigge far away from the team!

Well, i don't know ramsej. I think it can be weakness, but he also is well covered by his teammates. Atletico are again with the best defense in Spain so far with only 12 goals against them. But on the other hand, i don't like small sized CB's. Most of the top team are playing with central defenders higher than 1.85m.

Cordoba is 10cm shorter. Lucas is the same height as Thiago Silva. I've wanted a shorter, agile CB for a while. Gives a different dimension.

There has to be something going on.

Second article from MARCA named "Lucas' exit leaves black hole in the red-and-white defense."

Height has lost a lot of relevance in modern football... The most dangerous attackers are short, thin, quick dribblers. Tall bulky strikers are a rarity nowadays.

Anywayz. I don't agree with spending 80mn on a CB while we continue counting pennies on the wingers. None of our current wingers is satisfying, tbh.

Now, when i left the emotions, i can think about a second on this.

if this is true, i believe that this is mainly because de Ligt has chosen either City or Barca. And we understand that after the game against Ajax.

Lucas fits next to every other our defender very well, and given the fact that he is left footed (the only one now is Alaba), i think it's going to be great to put some pressure on Alaba. We're talking about this since..forever. It's only going to help him.

Now, with the Pavard rumours we're going to have: (To he honest, i don't mind keeping Rafinha for one more year, because we're Bayern and we're injured often).

For LB: Alaba, Hernandez, Rafinha
For CB: Süle, Hernandez, Pavard
For RB: Kimmich, Pavard, Rafinha

7 players for 3 positions, where if something really, really strange happens - we can even play Alaba and Kimmich at the CB. However, the last is not advisable.

Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it, but I think Marca is not as crap as their reputation suggests...and they are really, really gassing it up, way more than just your average everyday transfer rumor. Claiming done deal, plastering it on front page, all over their social media, making sure EVERYONE knows that it's THEIR exclusive story and THEY broke it first. Of course none of that guarantees anything, but even for them it would hurt their rep a fair bit to pump up something so much and have it turn out to be fabricated or w/e...

For my money? If price is same (and it seems like it has been), give me Lucas ahead of de Ligt. I really do rate de Ligt, but Lucas is not much older, every bit as good at CB, more versatile, and has been proven at the absolute top levels, whereas de Ligt - though I do rate him - still has some question marks being an Eredivisie player. As an added benefit we have much more versatility at both CB and fullback between Lucas and Pavard and IMO makes it easier for us to play back-three if we wanted...

Lets say the deal goes through, are we able to use him in CL? Isn’t he cup tied?
