He was alright but like I said he wasn't putting in brilliant performances. Even at now at R.Madrid he still isnt first choice. If he was putting on consistent top performances you would have more people lamenting his departure, instead of just thinking its unfortunate he left.

Well... He was putting in roughly at least equal performances compared to Coutinho, at a fraction of the cost. At that price it was a bargain and a no-brainer.

James last season was just as shit as Coutinho. No need to twist the facts just to further shit on your nemesis.
I'm saying this as a James "fan" and Kovac "hater".

21 total votes in with 12 "No" and 9 "Yes" if you think Havertz is worth the 120m euros that Felix went for. Would love to see more votes as the season progresses so don't forget to log in to the main site.

No, he wasn't.

James: 10 scorer points in 1143 minutes (1 point every 114.3 mins) and an average WhoScored rating of 7.24
Coutinho: 7 scorer points in 2023 minutes (1 point every 289 mins) and an average WhoScored rating of 6.93

And since this is the Havertz thread (wink win)...

Havertz: 20 scorer points in 2901 minutes (1 point every 145.05 mins) and an average WhoScorer rating of 7.25

Basically if you want to compare James to someone, he's much closer to Havertz than to Coutinho who lags far behind.

I didn't vote because I'm still undecided. I'd like to see him do well in the Champions League for starters.

Fair enough, I enabled the option to change ones vote as the seasons progresses for that reason but you can always take your time.

From UEFA.com:

James Thorogood, Leverkusen reporter

My levels of desperation for Kai Havertz to finally produce one of his jaw-dropping performances in the Champions League are starting to get unhealthy.

Oh brilliant. And according to WhoScored, Coutinho overall beats Müller if you're going by the best Bayern 11 per formation. Not that you'd care.

I was simply pointing out how you only care about WhoScored when it actually supports your standpoint as you obviously think Coutinho is garbage this season while Müller isn't.

James topped Coutinho’s season stats so far against Mainz alone...

At least be fair and point out that James had less goals/assists at this point of the season than Coutinho has now.
