I'd say that's the main reason considering Hughes took him to Blackburn.

Yeah but there's also reasons such as money and language, QPR are quite rich now surprisingly....

Yeah, is it Fernandez who owns them (formally of F1 fame?)

Well I personally think he made the wrong career choice. He could have been playing regularly in a Champions League team but now he's playing for a probably soon to be Championship team.

Well the fact that he took the easier path shows that Gladbach dodged a bullet in signing this seemingly un-ambitious player!

To be honest there is no guarantee that Gladbach will become a regular CL team, but then again the chances of QPR ever reaching a CL spot are very slim.

They have signed Calvente i think and also Peniel Mlapa from Hoffenheim who is one of the fastest Bundesliga players!

May be Borussia couldn't afford him after getting Luuk, I read he will cost around £5M compensation plus the player’s £60,000-a-week salary, which is a lot.
So you cant really blame him for joining QPR ?

Yeah that's what I thought too, Fernandez has plenty of money for QPR to spend on while Borussia is the highest Bundesliga spender this summer already :P although I would've thought they had a bit more money to spend on given that Reus and Dante left Borussia-Park.

They are fourth in europe in money paid for transfers this summer

And they have done a great job, Hoilett would have been extra luxury

He would only have cost 800 thousand but his salary might be big
Or maybe , non-sporty and non-financial reasons are behind that

*Fifth in Europe actually, Kiev has spent more now  but they have Hermann and Arango anyway and Mlapa can play there too so they probably don't need him anyway and they have positions they have to be more cautious about
