I am not against this transfer, the only thing that worries me is that I don't think that he is a winger...
I see him more as #10

He can be a winger, but not for Bayern Munich... We rely heavily on game changers in the last third... Those need to be pacey, good in small spaces, versatile and good in 1vs1... Brandt has his strengths, but none of them complement our wingplay...

We're after young players, at least that's something rather than being lost in everything. It's likely that Goretzka is the next one for summer 2018.
But all this means that Ancelotti can't remain at the club, he's been so far incapable of developing young players.

I think Brandt and B.Silva have the same attribute....Silva just looks better because he had a better season but if we have honest they have a similar playing style

Not at all... Bernardo Silva is a dribble, Brandt isn't. They're practically in opposite sides on the spectrum of wide midfielder profiles.

It's pretty damn easy, Brandt is nowhere near Bernardo...
I mean seriously?
Bernardo is a 1vs1 player and exceptional at it, while Brandt is a player that rather backpasses who os relying more on his positioning and teammates creating openings for him... Plus he's right footed, that alone should be obvious enough...

Bernardo Silva is so overrated on here it's ridiculous.
Not saying Brandt is better.

Funny, could've said the same thing about every mediocre Regionalliga kicker just cause they are German

I don't overrate Bernardo... He's just exactly the kind of player we need as he is exceptional in tight spaces abd very resourceful when it comes to fooling his opponent...

Plus there's very few RWs capable of playing for us (obviously, the board thinks everyone can...) and considering it should be a leftie, pickins don't exactly get fatter

Unlike #12, I'm definitely not saying one is better than the other :P

Bernardo Silva beats players 1-on-1, pretty much technically perfect. I was under the impression that he was the Portuguese De Bruyne after my first time watching him, but after further inspection he's far more of a dribbler.

On the other hand Brandt pretty much has little to no true footballing skill but makes up for it with intelligence and his delivery. I like his decision making in the final third because he nearly always makes the right call, but there are things he can't do with the ball. He couldn't even beat San Marino's defender when on the ball, but he can beat a well-organised defensive line. Cerebral player.

However to be honest I no longer actively want Brandt here because he chose to not join us this year. Seems like a mental weakness.

Not just saying one is better, also that one doesn't fit our style of play at all, while the other one is a perfect match...

That’s not a mental weakness. It’s him not being delusional enough to think he’ll start as many games as he needs to continue his development. Down to earth players like him should be admired. Just look at Sanches, lol some of us thought he’d have an important role in the team by the end of last season but now his future here isn’t looking good.
