Interview today with Boateng... unfortunately sounds like he's heading for the exit...

I experienced everything at the club. And so I am slowly getting to the point where I have to answer certain questions for myself: What are my goals that not yet achieved? Do I always want to prove myself to the same club with the same conditions.

Well, it's clear that he wants to leave and it seems that our management already know about this given the recent rumored interest in CBs.

Wouldn't mind if he leaves. Same shit every year. Big mouth and always hinting that he wants to leave. Then he can't handle 10 games in a row without getting injured.
Pinnacle last season when he kept whining about not being a starter even though he was barely fit for 2 weeks straight.
Süle can do the job as we saw yesterday and he's only going to get better, Boateng isn't.
We're at a point at which I'd gladly make some "sacrifices" and risk losing 1-2% of performance and trust in younger players for the sake of our future, if it means we can use the money to further build our squad.
We clearly didn't manage to push this "golden era" to another CL title. So let the others take over.

I have always been a big fan of Boateng, maybe even one of my favorite players on the team... but at this point, we can't be sentimental. If management thinks he can regain some consistent health, it's worth it to keep him. If it looks like he'll stay injured for the rest of his career... well... time to move on.

I do think we have a SERIOUS issue with our medical staff/training conditions/etc. Our players seem to have more injuries than other team's players. Not sure if that's just my perception or not.

I was thinking for him in the last couple of weeks, him Sule, Kimmich, CocoLeon.. What a great young core this is going to be in the middle and defense.

Send via carrier pigeon.

Tah would be a great addition, but he just extended with Leverkusen until 2023... and you know how Völler feels about Bayern...

CBs for next season: Hummels, Süle, Mai, de Ligt

And De Vrij (apologies for his Family name spelling) is on his way to Inter.

The World Cup could be a good showcase

There are still many other options for a young and perspective players..

I'm watching these guys:

https://www.transfermarkt.com/mattia-ca ... ler/197470 Mattia Caldara,Atalanta; Contract until:30.06.2018,Loan club:Juventus FC;
https://www.transfermarkt.com/issa-diop ... ler/272622 Issa Diop,captain of Toulouse; Contract until:30.06.2020;
https://www.transfermarkt.com/yeray-alv ... ler/255488 Yeray Alvarez;Athletic Bilbao; Contract until:30.06.2022;

Also, de Vrij is free agent (as far as i know,he is not a 100 % Inter player) ;de Light is an option..
And many others..It depends on Kovac and his plan i guess...

I feel that Tah is way to similar to Süle, I would prefer a more agile CB like De Ligt.

Man United, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in Jerome Boateng. [SPORTBILD]

I don't think City with all the defenders in the team are looking for him,the same thing goes for Chelsea. Even United are with 5 CB's...

I think Liverpool are the only team from these 4 that can be looking for him.

Again, most of our players became injury prone once they put the Bayern jersey on.

Story will repeat itself with Tah or whoever

I hate to say it as I've always been a fan of Boateng, but I've gotta think it's time to start looking elsewhere, too.
Boateng a few years ago had a legitimate claim to say he was one of the - maybe the best CB's in the whole world.
Since then he's been oft-injured and out of form. I can't remember the last time he put in a stretch where he was both healthy AND in good form. Healthy, in-form Boateng is still a top, top, player, but I'm not sure we'll see him again any time soon - or not for any extended period of time with any consistency.
Sadly, he seems to be going by way of Badstuber. If you look at Boateng's injury history, it's pretty consistently been getting more frequent AND more severe. He seems to keep re-aggravating the same injuries or same muscle-groupings and when you get in that cycle it's hard to get out of it. At age 29 he should be just now getting to his peak as a player but if we're being honest he probably peaked about 3 years ago now.

Of course perhaps if we had a more competent doc at the helm it wouldn't be such an issue. But being a German NT player playing for Bayern Munich he's pretty much screwed.
