Exactly.

The truth is : Boateng is our best defender and he is still world class and one of the very best in the business... when fit.

Boateng is indeed underappreciated and Pavard indeed slightly overestimated for Bayern fans.
However the "team Pavard" of this forum which I'm doesn't imply that Pavard is better than Boateng right now,the thing is that if we are going to sell Boateng we need to get a replacement and Pavard is a great solution because of his integration to Germany and the league, leading VfB defense, very experienced for his age and has great potential to become one of the world's best in his position plus he can patch up the RB position for €35m.
Everything is in favor for Pavard, he has all the attributes to succeed and to become a Bayern player and he wants to play for us too.

For me the these are the best cases for these two:
1.Having both of them this season
2.Having both of them next season
3.Boateng stays this season, we sign Pavard in 2019
4.Boateng leaves this season, we replace him with Pavard.

Same but let be honest.

If we would have sold Boateng to PSG, then Kehrer would have extend with Schalke and would have sign for Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool in one year.

Oh well.. ](*,)

We can offload Boateng, Robben and Ribery next season and will hopefully get Pavard/De Ligt and Pulisic/Martial!

He should've stayed in a better way. Not just because he didn't reach an agreement with PSG. The board should've showed the player he's still wanted at least for now. I'm glad he is staying nonetheless.

Now that his relationship with Kalle has turned so sour, I'm not sure how I feel about a world class player staying.

I think the mutual respect between him and Kovac, and that he and Kovac both want to work together is more important, and generally brings good out of players.

I sense that the board did not want to sell a player the coach straight up wanted to keep, only to even give him no one in exchange. Anybody with half an eye should also see that Javi and Alaba are no real options, so we would be extremely thin at the back. Not to mention that Boa was not bad at all last season when he was healthy.

This is a good outcome, I really did not expect him to stay =D>

So, we have at least two high profile players who wanted to leave, play for richer clubs, one selling sunglasses and the other health products and now they will have to suck it up and stay in Munich?
