ESPN's On the Move blog has a few entries regarding his proposed move.

11.20 BST: Speculation in Germany suggests that Javi Martinez is heading for Bayern Munich, with some reports saying a deal has already been done and that his current club, Athletic Bilbao, will hold a press conference later this morning. Abendzeitung München, citing Spanish sources, says the deal has been completed, but there is no official confirmation as yet.

14.18 BST: German media outlet TZ believes a €33 million Bayern bid for Javi Martinez has been accepted, based on reports from Spain. Athletic did not mention that deal at their earlier press conference.

your animosity towards JM is even stronger than Firefox's hate for Mandzukic. how's that possible?

oh my, aren't you a cocky little boy

p.s Javi can't displace Arbeloa because they don't play the same position. JM's competitors are Ramos and Pique, and those two guys have so much more experience that it's impossible to him to displace them. plus, moving Ramos to RB isn't feasible, so don't use that as an excuse

It's looking more and more likely. Anyone found a real source from Spain?

How is moving Ramos to RB not feasible? He is equally adept as RB as he is at CB. Alba-Pique-Javi-Ramos.

The point is the double post by MUTU and Element, not the news itself.

because he's exclusively been playing at CB for the last few seasons? moving him to RB would be like moving Lahm to LB, except much worse because it's a different role

(not implying Lahm can't play LB, but why do you think neither Low and Heynckes want to move him around? Low only does it because he really doesn't have a choice)
