If you consider Gnabry a striker, then you might consider Müller one too...

Gnabry played most of his matches this season as a centre-forward.
Müller hasn't played a single match as a centre-forward this season IIRC.

Also, the idea of Müller as a lone striker is so shocking that I'd rather not think about it. Someone as selfless as Müller has no place playing as a lone striker.

He would probably go on loan. Hoffenheim would be amazing(next season they are going to be without Uth, Wagner and Gnabry; Naggelsmann good trainer for young players and they are going to need more players for the CL). Stuttgart could be a good option.

That's not correct, but I'd like to know your source for that.
Gnabry is a SS/LW. He only played one match as a lone CF.
Müller is a RW/SS. You see my point?

Sure, it's WhoScored.

Gnabry: https://bit.ly/2LcMvdi
Mueller: https://bit.ly/2IsPTie

They say Mueller played 2 matches as FW (rating of 6.67, the position with his lowest average rating)
They say Gnabry played 11 matches as FW (rating of 7.43, the position with his highest average rating)

Gnabry is playing next to Uth who is a CF.
Gnabry is NOT a lone striker, just as much as Müller isn't.

Just because he's not a lone striker doesn't mean he didn't play as a centre forward. They're not mutually exclusive. The point is that Mueller plays better when he's not attacking too much and Gnabry plays better the more offensive he's positioned. Therefore, one should be inclined to believe that Gnabry would be more suited to the more-offensive roles than Mueller.

I must have missed something. Who would be the fourth?
St. Arnulf of Metz - Bishop & member of the court of the Frankish king Theodebert II of Austrasia. A noble, Arnulf married Doda & their son was Ansegisel. Ansegisel married Beggia, the daughter of Pepin of Landen, starting the Carolingian dynasty.

I may remind you that Müller's best season was when he was mainly positioned as a second striker next to Lewandowski. But whatever, have it your way, you're just gonna bend the facts the way you like it anyways and tell me Müller is playing as a CM.
Fact is, both are the best when they're not the ones who lead the line but rather the ones that push into the spaces that the true CF create, if you're not able to see that, then I really don't know what else to say.
Come to think of it, I remember you liking to push players into whatever categories you like because they're somehow able to perform their at the minimum required level.

For what it's worth, what Whoscored calls "forward center" is what Transfermarkt calls second striker. He might be lined up on the teamsheet as a center forward but when the ball kicks off, that's not really where he plays...

Also, I don't understand why we'd want to buy him now and loan him out, rather than get him for free next season.
If he comes next season, we need to remember that he won't be the only young striker joining the club; we've already signed Alex Timossi Andersson for 2019.

Well, I guess it's better to pay now and make it a 'sure thing' rather than chance it on a free next year. The fee has been rumored to be €8m, which isn't super cheap, but I suppose it's an okay amount to pay to make sure you don't miss out. I suspect Andersson - who will have just turned 18 at the time of his transfer - will probably be initially brought into the reserves...but I don't know for sure.
