He can play both as CDM and as CB.
If he comes Javi 's days are numbered.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. A CDM Javi is superior to Dier, if he plays like he used to.
Dier is a great kid with huge potential, but a high fee won't guarantee him a starting spot.

No more space for another central/defensive midfielder. Should this be true, someone in that spot has to leave. Alonso? I wouldn't be against it.

Dier has been having an excellent season, and yesterday he was great in defensive midfield for England. Our current players are better, though. Plus, his transfer fee will definitely be very high.

He looks more than decent for his age, but it seems unrealistic.

This move would definitely mean the end of Alonso... unless if he'd be happy to work as a janitor in AA.

FOUR years ago, eyebrows were raised when veteran Sporting Lisbon coach Jesualdo Ferreira compared his young English rookie Eric Dier to Franz Beckenbauer.

So Bayern to get a british player playing for a BPL side who just qualified for CL?

Really can't see it happening. I call BS on this rumour :coffee:
