That said, Bayern should and most likely will do everything to extent with Alaba and Neuer. I believe both will extent, but it will be expensive for Bayern since both of them are very important to the club.

I doubt that there will be a lively transfer market next summer so that in a sense will be a good thing for Bayern. It will give the board more time to secure the deal. Although it could also give Alaba and Neuer more power as it will be more closer to the summer of 2021.

Good thing?

We have a fucked up, run-down unbalanced squad, the few great playerswe have are out of contract in 2021, we've talked about this for years and our board has bern promising us jam tomorrow for 2 years straight already... And you think this is GOOD? Okay then!

This is why I'm not so scared about the Alaba contract situation. Both Real and Barca are in big financial problems, esp. Barca, and I'm not sure they'll offer Alaba a better contract then Bayern ATM. With the current financial questions hanging over every club, this won't be a good time to extend contracts for players. Alaba could wait until next season starts in order to see what the market will be.

I wonder if Bayern will put a deadline on making a deal. If Alaba is only after money then it makes perfect sense for him to leave as a free transfer and negotiate a big sign on fee.

Agree.

I’m actually a little surprised he already earns that much and is expecting significantly more. I really can’t see us going much further than that amount, unless we’re talking bonuses that are tied to CL trophies. As much as I like Alaba, he can’t expect a wage like Lewi.

When LionRock Capital bought 1/3 of Inter's shares in 2019, they said that they're ready to insert a lot of money in La Beneamata, and of course - did it the last summer when they spend more than 178m for new players & it's believed the team is ready to spend another 150m+ this transfer window.
