Yeah me too, I'd take Ten Hag from the available list unless Hansi Flick keeps the good football accompanied by CL semi-finals and dominant domestic campaign against RBL & BVB. I admit I like Flick's philosophy but defensively we're still a mess and he has to pass some serious tests.

Yeah, and from the arguebly big matches so far he's only one 1 out of 4 and that was right after Kovac got sacked and Dortmund were in a big hole.

No, imo if we reach the qf convincingly and win the Pokal. we should give Flick a long contract.

Looks like Flick will get the job ( based on what KHR said)

At the moment I'm inclined to Flick. The football is great, he is doing well, and there just aren't any clearly better coaches available. I've always been pro-Tuchel but his stock fell a little with me due to PSG (although PSG is a mess in itself so I wouldn't judge him for that). Ten Hag hasn't had a great season and Nagelsmann doesn't seem available. Of course, all of this can change depending on how Flick's CL season develops. Local tournaments are essentially useless to gauge a coach.

No reason to change at the moment. Our weaknesses seem more down to injuries and squad.

So far Flick looks pretty good imo. At least it's interesting to watch Bayern games again (last time was when Jupp took over Ancelotti).

Do we still have issues? Of course - starting from the board and ending with the players, but I believe that finally the coach isn't our weakest link in the chain.

Well, I can live with that.
The "spielerische Entwicklung" is obvious since Flick took over and going from yesterday it seems the team is also able to do their thing over 90 and not just 45 minutes.
Right now I'm not really against seeing what Flick can do with an improved team and more time.

Needs to fix that shitty defense though... Had they not been so bad on attack this could’ve gotten WAY more ugly...

Then again we lack quality defenders...

Nobody wants to defend in football anymore, at least not in the way that for instance Mourinho and Simeone demand and like to defend. The same case as in the NBA basketball in the last 6-7 years - just shoot for 3 pts and bye, no more late 80's and 90's strong defence.

We won 0:3 in an away leg and that's simply fantastic no matter who was our opponent having in mind the whole Guardiola's reign and disastrous career away record in the K.O. stages and even after him.

But strong defence will very likely win us the CL semifinal place and perhaps the CL final that we failed to reach 4 times between August 2013 and June 2019.

Just not true...

Basketball changed... You make it seem like it's all just a glory hunt, things change, roll with it...
You think Klopp ain‘t defending? Can I be there when you tell him? You think RM wasn’t defending against us? You think Bayern 2012/13 was a defense-minded team?

Then you’re wrong on all ends... The key is balance... If our defense was half as good as our offense we would be a force to reckon with!
It’s players and setup...

In 2013 they just didn’t want to concede - and then they didn’t... Yet they still put 4 past Barca and 2 past Juve twice...

I don’t want Simeone soccer... I want to look serious in defense and not like a bunch of kindergarteners...

No, I think the same way as you said here, but every time I get the impression from players that when they join some top clubs they always say it's important to play attacking football the reason why they joined the club.

Balance is essential, but I'm not si sure that possession is the only way to defend yourself against strong opponents, but also some both individual and team ability and strategy.
