Why would we want a coach who is "failing" in the EPL, and doesn't speak German?

I'm surely forgetting about someone :P ... but apart from Pep, has any other South American / Spanish / Italian coach ever been succesful in BL in recent times?

My opinion is that a coach needs to be either fluent in the language of the country he is coaching in or proficient in English. Especially if we're talking about top clubs in Europe. PSG might be an exception as they don't have than many French players in the core group.

It is usually tougher for Latin people to learn the German language and many top Latin players and coaches cannot even speak decent English.

That's why I'm not too sold on the idea of bringing in coaches like Simeone, Allegri, Conte or Pochettino

From what I heard Pep's German was not the best and that's why probably he wasn't more succesful here, but at least he tried his best to learn the language.

I doubt that there were any...
Pep tried hard and I admire him for that, what I did not like in him was that he used to over do it in experimenting... AFAIK in Eng he is not doing as such.

He has no defenders...
Was his defense like this back in Dortmund?
I don't think so...
Actually this def reminds more to Pep's nightmares vs Real Barca Atletico and Juve

His defense literally was like this in Dortmund.
Averaged 1.15 goals conceded per game at BvB.
1.2 goals conceded per game with Liverpool.

I know you don't like Pep but the comparison is downright offensive. In three years our defense allowed 0.55 goals per game. That is better than the vaunted Juventus and Atletico defenses in the same span.

Can't see tweet? Click here!

And whose fault is it he has no defenders? Who is in charge of the signings at Liverpool? Exactly - it's him.

I can't for the life of me understand why you want this dinosaur at Bayern. I don't want him anywhere near a Bundesliga team, let alone Bayern.

I think Zidane might be available soon.

What is the general opinion on him? I'm not sure whether he's good or just been relatively lucky tbh

I think he's mostly a younger version of Ancelotti. Don't want him at Bayern, but unfortunately he fits enough criteria to be considered by UH/KHR: Young but still reasonably experienced, has won the CL twice, big name, can deal with star players... if German speaking isn't a must, he's not the most unlikely candidate.

BTW I don't think he'll take the French NT job so early in his career.

Good point, not just the defenders, but whole the picture, the way their defence players are moving on the pitch and covering the space both on the counters or when they are pressed are just HORRIFIC for a team that is aiming for a top-4 position in the league. I hust hope, please no Klopp. Better the poisones Tuchel, than Bayern matches won with 4-3 or 5-4 or when we get a draw instead a 0-0 or 1-1 we get a 3-3.
