The players I mentioned up until know they are indeed soft ballerina players that doesn't make the likes of Perisic and Goretzka exceptional footballers or warriors. All of them are underwhelming considering the expectations and yeah I prefer the tough guys midfielder type but with quality on the ball rather the ballerinas who're getting bullied and slayed with ease.

Efficiency over flashy moves and unnecessary step-overs any day
Except Thiago is the one actually putting in the numbers and getting the results. There are very few midfielders out there who have his quality. In any case, what are these though guys you're talking about? Can't think of many. I guess you could maybe say Modric, maybr Kante. Funnily enough, the best example I can think of for what you're asking for is Vidal, who is Latino. Today's "tough guys" of German football are a pile of bullcrap, begining with Goretzka.

Fénix wrote:Just as I wrote to @Xabi, it goes the same for you 2. I'll cut the story... Who is good for today to be Bayern's fullback, center-back and that is available to us? Names, please.

All I see these days that all fullbacks who have shown up in the last 6-7 years are silly, both experienced and young guys. Either there must be players or the sport is totally overhyped and has completely collapsed since business is only what is perfectly functioning.

Availability is something that can't be described easily, tell me our budget and we can talk.
Example: If we name Cancelo or Hakimi as our main targets for RB and our budget is 20M for this position then of course they're not available but with 50M they will definitely be or at least can make it happen.

Right now with the availability filter being on I'd say that Meunier & Klostermann can fill our needs but neither are better than Kimmich!
For the center back position there are plenty of choices but again depending on the budgeting plus that I don't think that our miserable defensive stability is sorely to blame on individual talent rather on bad (overall) tactics and soft midfield where we persistently ignore to fix!

This is good. That way the temptation is removed and we can hopefully play the actual best RB in the world at RB.

Trent's at Liverpool.

True, but Kimmich is at least top 3.

This deal annoys me so much especially if it’s without a buy option. So we just bring in a stopgap solution to a problem we stupidly created ourselves by switching our best RB for our worst midfielder??? And in June, what happens then?

**** up squad planning. I disagree with whoever said better him than no one. I’d rather have no one, that way injuries/suspensions might force them to see sense and play Kimmich at RB.

Hope he will help us but if we can’t even buy him in the end we’ll only be helping Real Madrid anyway lmao...

Average player but he is pacy so i guess that's nice.

Not anywhere near Kimmich level and TBH not a better RB than Pavard. But could do worse for a 6 month loan for a backup player. I suspect short-term loan with no buy option would suggest that a.) we don't want to commit to anything here because the manager position is undecided and potential new manager may not want him or prefers Kimmich at RB or b.) we're simply inept at negotiations and were unable to secure a buy-option even if we wanted it or c.) some mix of both.

I wouldn't rule out "B" but my gut says it's "A" - we're not decided on Flick and don't want to make a long-term decision before having a long-term manager in place.

Pretty indifferent overall but we do need some depth.

If it’s A it still doesn’t make sense not to have a buy option (option, not commitment).

At most. Ricardo Pereira and Trent clearly better, then there are arguments to be made for Walker, Carvajal, Hakimi, and other players who were born and destined to be a specialist full back.

Kimmich is the perfect version of who we need Goretzka and Tolisso to be. Get rid of those two, play Kimmich as #8 where he belongs, sign a robust DM - easy midfield fix.

In Spain it's a done deal while in Germany he is right now on his way to München to have a medical check. In that case, it's expected to see Odriozola being introduced tomorrow morning or during the afternoon.

The only good thing Álvaro will certainly give us right now is the fact he'll increase our depth and become the only natural RB in our squad unlike Kimmich and Pavard.

I guess he can also play as a Right Winger because he is fast. So this way we get both the RB and winger Hansi Flick asked for. **** hell

By the way, weren't the bosses just saying a few days ago how we don't do stopgap signings?

It is what it is
Flick asked for RB they got him one average to patch up his needs until he proves worthy to demand real talent.
You can blame the board since they fall into their own super-bad squad planning and they still are because they don't know the coach they'll will hire permanently.

This can also be translated as a vote in favor of Flick to stay beyond summer, so they got a RB to help him achieve something otherwise they would let him dry and see if he can handle the situation without hearing his demands, how much of a help an average RB like Odriozola could be is yet to be seen

I think it's a good deal. Flick needed a RB so he has got it. Then bayern can work on future with flick or not so we will see where kimmich will eventually play. Til then we still have two own players who can do very good as RB in kimmich and pavard while we haven't wasted money on a permanent deal with an avarage RB odriozola.

Any way he plays in real so he should do well when needed.

Another important thing is that this summer bayern should be more accurate on transfers. I mean til now it wasn't so important if a new player like davies was good as fullback or winger as we would need young new players everywhere but things are different right now. I wouldn't like see how some young players are being sold cause a bad planification (goretzka, tolisso, coman).
