Süle has terrible acceleration though. He needs to run for at least 15m before he reaches top speed, and even then he's still probably slower than Boateng.

I'd wager that if they make a 10 meter race, from a stationary position, Hummels would beat Süle. 30 meters and Süle would probably beat Hummels.

Are we talking about different players, or in what world does Hummels have good acceleration?
In a high defensive line, sprint speed is more important than acceleration anyways. If we're defending with a deep line, it's the other way around.
It was the same with Boateng back then, nobody would argue that he had good acceleration, yet he was considered extremely fast because he was able to catch up most of the time.

Hummels has poor acceleration, but Suele's is terrible.

Let's investigate what really matters, their FIFA 18 rating  But seriously, for kicks, here they are:
Boateng: Acceleration 71 Sprint 79 (total 150)
Hummels: Acceleration 62 Sprint 69 (total 131)
Suele: Acceleration 51 Sprint 78 (total 129)

Also we need to remember that Hummels is 29yo and Suele is 22yo. This is Suele's peak speed, probably.

Oh and before I forget:
Martinez: Acceleration 49 Sprint 53 (total 102)

I'd rather not suffer heart attacks and have the opponent tackled immediately in the middle of the park not just before he's going to shoot from inside the box, but maybe you like living on the edge :)

Ah yeah, because that's what we've already been doing... not.

I think the *real transfer window opens today.

It closes at 8/31. 47 days to finish some serious business.

For England it's closing earlier, right? So I guess the other countries have to do business with England before their transfer window closes.

You know, if by some wild chance we landed all the guys we're supposedly signing next year, we might be on to something! Hahaha. Bailey, Werner, Pavard, Martial, perhaps Arp...
