I don't get what Moyes gets out of even mentioning Shaqiri other than another red face when he misses out on another transfer target.

I think he's being incredibly naive. It's like now he's a manager of a big club, he thinks he needs to be after big players from big teams, and has to tell everyone about it.

He needs to be a lot smarter.

But he still isn't getting Shaqiri!

It doesn't make sense for Bayern but it does for Shaqiri, he'll have trouble breaking into the first 11 at Bayern but there are plenty of good teams he could be a key player for.

True but Ribery is 31, i find it hard to believe Shaqiri will not surpass an aging Ribery in a year or two(max).....
