I thought we'd use him as a LM/ LW and Hoilett as back-up RW/RM

Spot on accuracy despite brute force. Sounds scary for us this CL season and quite promising next.

Shaqiri will probably be called up to the Olympics but believes that FC Bayern would not let him go as he would miss the preseason and not be able to integrate himself well. He will discuss this issue with the board soon.

Kid's showing some professionalism :)

Yeah, he's not going to be let to go there. He's our insurance policy against the post-EURO/WC hangover, no point in it when he's off on an international tourney of his own.

That is what I think too. Besides, he has been playing for the senior national team for a while. He doesn't crave international football as much as he would have if he was trying to break into the senior squad.

Awesome goal!
Hope he reciprocates the same form here
But, imagining if Robben scores?
Had robben done that, he would have dislocated his spine completely!

now that Lahm is RB

Shaqiri on LB might be a realistic option :)

The only reason that would happen is if Alaba SERIOUSLY **** up. He's been solis in every part of the pitch, besides this guy is clearly meant to play RW,he knows it himself better than anyone, I'd rather not have the successor to Robben at LB,so no thanks.
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

That would end in a long injury for sure.
