This player is brilliant for us.
Last match against Bayern, was terrific he ripped us apart especially with his passing. He opened up spaces, such a shame he didnt score. But he played very well. Hopefully he has a great start at Bayern and becomes the STAR he is portrayed to be.
Bayern got to fix up there attack

He had an ok game last night, one brilliant cross in the first half, but apart from that, he was a bit isolated up against Lahm. In a team with more possession, you'll get a better picture of what sort of player he is.

Im on Bayerns side.

But their performance on late has not been anywhere near the standards expected

And bout Shaqiri he did have good match, without him Basel wouldnt have been able to counter attack us most of the time.

To keep it short and sweet he wasn't signed as defensive cover, the club and the player both intend to be used as an attacking player! The decision is futile!

I could not agree more with you. Shaqiri is a attacking RW. Point.

now that you mentioned him as LB....I cant stop thinking of Tarnat:)...he was great LWB with killer foot.

we could play like this...as I wrote in tactics thread:...there I used Rafinha as RWB and Lahm as LWB :)

...............GOMEZ................
Ribery.......................Robben
.........Kroos....Schweini..........
Shaqiri...........................Lahm
.......Bad...New CB...BOateng....

Same tactics we used in 2001 when we won CL:)
