I do hope we go for Shaqiri instead of Lallana. But theres nothing concrete in the english media about us having proper interest in the player. £20m+ on Lallana is just madness when we can get Shaqiri for around £15m.

Wow, Raketa will definitely leave Sevilla this summer and start earning round 6 mil €/year. 2.5 mil is a misery.

Shaqiri isn't going Sevilla on loan. He's coming to LFC on a permanent transfer hopefully...

Shaqiri is definitely the best winger deal available at the moment. I think he'll end up with you guys. Liverpool have wanted him for a long time.

Brendan has wanted him since January 2013. But obviously the hierarchy in Munich rate him highly which is why he hasn't left yet... I do think he will move on this summer if its not us it will be another team in England, maybe Arsenal or M*n Utd or City

I read that his salary was 2M and it was fully payed by Sevilla

So shouldn't that mean they'll be able to pay him if they sell Rakitic?

They probably could do it, but they don't want to pay big salaries to any player. They wanted to extend Rakitic's contract and their offer was 3M per year.

Doesn't mean a thing, especially because he'd want to avoid speculation during the world cup. Let's hope he does though.

Cant really compare Liverpool with Fulham.

I am not comparing Fulham to Liverpool. lewis Holtby left Schalke for Tottenham, thought he was getting a great move, potential champions league football, bigger wages, now playing for fulham, would he have left for them originally, would he bolllox...one bad game at liverpool and he'd be benched, and end up at a much lesser club within a year, but hey, at least he'd be playing regularly eh...

I wouldn't count on that. 2 months later you might see: "Shaqiri is leaving FC Bayern". Then what would you say?

Shaqiri would start at Liverpool he is a better player than Raheem Sterling... Plus we need extra strength and depth in the team.

Somehow the system lost my post or at least I can't find it.

What I wanted to say is that we won't sell Shaqiri as long as we have serious doubts about Franck Ribéry's back condition. Ilkay Gündogan apparently had a similar injury and look how long he's been missing. We certainly won't risk having to replace two left wingers this summer.

The thing is, even if Ribery cannot play, will it be Shaqiri who replaces him? Probablly Gotze and Muller are ahead of him in Pep's preferences.

Very true. So if you want Shaqiri to start can we have Götze instead lol [-o<
