To be fair we actually were in that situation... but only for a few days. :(

Any news on how long Shaqiri's injury is? It does not seem too serious, I was in fact surprised to hear he was injured. But if he misses the Man United game it is already bad news.

Nothing yet. But it says on the website that the tear in his muscle is pretty serious, it's not certain yet when he can be back and he's definitely missing the United game.

From what I can make out of the German article this injury has 3 grades

Grade one hamstrings should be rested from sporting activity for approximately 3 weeks, and grade two injuries typically require 4 to 6 weeks for recovery. Complete ruptures require surgical repair and rehabilitation for approximately 3 months.

The article says "großer" which would suggest to me he'll probably be out for at least 4-6 weeks, but who knows my German sucks.

It's a recurring injury unfortunately.

He had a hamstring injury that put him out of action from 20/03/2011 to 25/04/2011 (36 days).
Another one from 13/10/2013 to 30/11/2013 (48 days).
Again from 15/02/2014 to 05/03/2014 (18 days)
And now, which is his 3rd time this season, no joke.
