Besides Robben and Ribery, Shaqiri is the only real wing in the squad. May be Muller also, but Gotze is more a CAM than a wing. So, in 1-2 years from now, it's quite possible that Shaq will be if not a first team regular, at least rotated with them (Robbery), thus receiving much more playing time and becoming more important for the team.

Honestly Shaqiri has not developed the way I expected, but I'd still keep him. Loan, please.

Here's another article which quotes Shaqiri's brother on the possible options, United seem to be interested in him too. But Bayern still remains the main priority for Shaq.

Stay in Bundesliga, Xherdan. Maybe Schalke, as there are problems with Farfan (Goal.com) or Draxler who's coming to München? [-o<

Shaqiri disputed last season 39 matches including 17 as a holder.
This season it is with 24 matches of disputed including 12 as a holder, knowing that it was not always made physically.
A 22 years, it must still have a margin of progression, but I acknowledge being disappointed by his services this season.

The best solution would be indeed to lend it to a team which plays the League of the Champions regularly, and Liverpool seems to me to be a good track, because the English club is on Switzerland since not bad of time already.

He could do worse than go to Fiorentina, but hopefully he won't have Gomez's bad luck if he does... :?

Still hoping we'll keep him, but if we don't as I said before I hope we don't purchase any other midfielders but instead give more chance to Hojbjerg (especially), Weiser and Schöpf when needed.

Shaqiri: "I feel very comfortable in Munich and am not thinking about saying goodbye."

"That was my brother's opinion, but it was also written a bit different to what was actually said. Sure, if a top club comes, you have to consider — but every player makes that." [source]

It's good to hear that he's comfortable in Bayern from the man himself. Very encouraging indeed.

Shaqiri has ruled out a loan within the Bundesliga in an interview with blick.ch.

"No, a loan within Germany is not an issue. Everything but Bayern would be a step down in the Bundesliga. I do not want that. I have proved that I am able to play at Bayern from the start." [source]
