Amazing how one bad game is enough for fans to bench one of the most requested player during the prematch.

Thiago wasnt as bad as Muller, Costa or Lewandowski in this game. If those last 3 are needed for next champions league match, then Thiago too.

Thiago needs to play more. He won't regain form if he is continually left on the bench.

Thiago was disappointing yesterday, he still lacks something to take it to the next level, I'd say it's consistency.

"one bad game"
lol.

He should play against Stuttgart and then we'll see how he does. If it's another "I don't even care" type of performance he shouldn't start against Benfica.

We need another creative midfielder next summer because Thiago alone is not enough.

He definitely cares. He slammed the deck in frustration that he lost the ball at one point.

Then he should stop those stupid circus tricks.
That time he got a pass from Ribéry and inexplicable failed to control it because he tried a unnecessary hard way to stop it, was absolutly ridiculous.

I think it is only fair Bild rated him higher than Lewandowski and Muller for example who didn't appear yesterday, or Saturday either.

So that excuses his poverty performance, alright.
Lewandowski's and Müller's quality come into play when the guy's behind them do their job. Apart from Vidal, that didn't work yesterday.

I really hope Thiago gets out of this slump asap.

Judging a midfielder's form by goals. Says it all really.

Yeah, the horror of recovering the ball high up, setting up the play in between a maze of black and white bars and scoring a perfect goal. SHOCKING!

Should be confined to the bench that bastard! Then of course we probably would still be discussing those penalties against Juve.

Thiago doesn't play well the last few months. Including the game against Juve. He can do so much better than that, because he's a fantastic player.
Fantastic players score great goals like he did. Doesn't change the fact he's far away from his top level.
