He is going to be a perfect Lewy sub.

I agree, he is a tough guy and he is in a good run recently maybe he is not the kind of striker that his stats may shock you but he gets the job done and the opponent can "feel" his presence, he reminds me of Mandzukic the Croat wasn't the absolute CF but he was a very important player who fitted perfectly well, Wagner has the ambition, the runs and the will to sacrifice his role by chasing opponents, passing the ball and make some dirty work.

If we add into the mix the timing I think he is a very good choice even if we double the sum to €20m I don't think we could get a much better player, there is no -quality- CF in the world right now young or experienced(non CL cup-tied) who would happily gamble his season being a back up, not now just before the World Cup, everybody wants to prove themselves and guarantee a spot to their NT for the summer fest in Russia.

Wagner will keep Lewy on his toes, he is tough guy with great work rate and Heynckes won't hesitate a sub if Wagner is on a good form.

To me he looks more like a poor man's Mandzukic. He's a fighter but not particularly good at anything

He used to be mediocre and indolent, but now he's been average/decent with Hoffenheim

At least he will be very motivated as signing for Bayern would put him one step closer to Russia

This forum in the beggining of the season - For fück's sake, just sing some striker, dosn't matter who;we're the only team in the top 5 leagues without an option for this position on the bench.Damn it.

This forum now - No,Wagner who is a german national,is playing in Germany,is pretty good in the last 2 seasons, his family is in Münich, and he is Bayern youth, feels red and bleeds red,and he wants to play for Bayern - no,we don't like him.No.

Oh lord,give me strength.

A striker who is 29 years old, who can hold the ball, who is aggressive and very strong. considering we need a back up striker for a short term, he is probably the best option. Gomez will be 33 years old next summer, l'm not sure if he is better than Wagner for the last 2 years.

Btw, Arp looks more interesting to me than Werner if he continues to develop further.

How come, considering he'd likely be seeing less playing time than at Hoffenheim? I mean this was the very argument that was used when Mario Gomez's name was making the rounds.

I don't understand. I fail to see a single user here who said he doesn't want Bayern to sign Wagner. And of course, such an aggressive/critical post got 'thanked', despite the questionable veracity of its claims.

Negotiations for Sandro Wagner Are Confirmed

Postby tflags » Fri Nov 17, 2017 11:11 am

There is already an exchange between the record champions and the current club Hoffenheim, confirmed TSG coach Julian Nagelsmann . "But there is nothing to announce except that there is interest," the coach said, adding, "But it's not that long until we run around the Christmas tree."

"Everyone knows that Sandro has children who live in Unterhaching (near Munich, d. Red.), The FC Bayern his youth club and he is not quite young," said Nagelsmann, who therefore "no grudge" against the striker the exchange wish.

So I work at a hotel that has a major sports network here. With that being said we get all kinds of announcers and sports personalities. Last night we had some.big soccer guys and one was a bundesliga guy and we talked Bayern. He thinks it's naglesman next year and even said klopp. But he thinks Wagner is a done deal

Giroud will cost more than wagner. Doesn't have bundesliga experience. Doesn't know german.
If wagner would not be available then maybe but wagner is the best choice.
