Hopp has neither ambition nor spine. I'm sorry for Julian.

Can't wait for the complaints in the Europa League thread how poorly they're doing and how they are an embarrassment for the German league.

This has nothing to do with us. if we don't, the others will do.

it's like English club's fans. They want Bundesliga talents, if Bayern signs them, they accuces of us weakening our rivals, as if they are our rivals. if their clubs signs them, they don't care about it as if it won't weaken them.

After all, they must question their ambition considering they signed Nordtveit and Grillitsch to replace Süle and Rudy.

Sorry, but I'm quite certain that Wagner would not leave Hoffenheim for any other club than Bayern, at least not at this point.

This is correct. FC Bayern is by far the best club in the world for which Wagner would be a top 2 striker.

I've watched a lot of Hoffenheim games lately and I noticed he either shines every couple of games, or gets lost in the turbulence somehow. A Pizza type of player he's not; but for 10 million and a desperate buy, not a bad choice.

I would still prefer Boateng up front though.

His aggressiveness reminds me of Mandzukic so I will welcome him

Sandro Wagner will do the Job IMO (more than Fernando Torres at least).

Remember?
This time it applies
Element wrote:Spox did not give details so i checked the 2017-2018 UEFA champions league regulations. While there is indeed a similar rule, it does not apply for Fernando Torres.

The rule says
Exceptionally, however, a player who has
been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the
UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA
Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group
stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a player can be registered in
accordance with Paragraph 44.01 to Paragraph 44.04.

The rule Spox are referring to, DOESN'T apply if the player had appeared in the group stage.

I think it's a good deal.
Knows the club inside out, experiences in the league,German international, very aggresive on the pitch and he can score. Not ideal but I think it's a good move considering the situation at January.
Cheap, cleared for the CL, fast intergration, good age, it can work.

For me, he's an average player but we are so desperate for a striker that I welcome him with open arms nonetheless.

There's not a shadow of doubt that he is the best 2nd choice "experienced"(even better --bundesliga experience) we can possible get worldwide..that guy is a german international for FFS. Coupled with the fact that he is a bayern fan he will definitely give his 200% every match. Also he is 29 so he is far from finished.
I bet even #12 can't find a fallacy with this one.

Can’t get Werner, might as well get the second best German striker

I don't have terribly high expectations from him but I have to think right now he's probably the best possible option. given the circumstances €10m for a pretty good player who's willing to be backup seems too good to be true.

We can't get a better and non-cup tied player for this price-tag except Ibisevic or any average Bundesliga striker. So welcome, better than nothing.
Neuer (Ulreich)
Kimmich (Rafinha) - Süle(Martinez) - Hummels (Boateng) - Alaba (Rafinha)
Goretzka(Tolisso) - Thiago (Sanches)
Robben (Gnabry) - James (Müller) - Coman (Ribéry)
Lewandowski (Wagner)

It does. In a World Cup year all players want to play as many games as possible to strength their case. Given that Gomez and Werner start/will start regularly for Wolfsburg and Leipzig respectively, it seems suspicious that Wagner would accept a backup role when his direct CF competitors would be playing regularly.

I would also question such a man’s professional ambition. So he is willing to play second fiddle to Lewandowski, thereby jeopardizing his WC spot, when he could instead stay at Hoffenheim and start regularly and strengthen his case for a WC spot?
