On paper, he looks like a good enough backup. However, he doesn't offer something different than Muller. I would like a backup striker who at least can do something different than the ones on the pitch. Maybe a good dribbler, a fast guy, a big header, etc.

To me, Wagner looks like a poor man's Carsten Jancker. Really not impressed by this guy.

Apparently, Sandro Wagner is going to join Bayern in January. He has told Hoffenheim that he wants to leave and Hoffen want at least 10 millions to let him go. Bild asked Wagner about that but he refused to comment [source]

So, we're going to take the third of Hoffenheim's most important players within half a year, only to become a squad player at Bayern.

Hopp has neither ambition nor spine. I'm sorry for Julian.

Can't wait for the complaints in the Europa League thread how poorly they're doing and how they are an embarrassment for the German league.

This has nothing to do with us. if we don't, the others will do.

it's like English club's fans. They want Bundesliga talents, if Bayern signs them, they accuces of us weakening our rivals, as if they are our rivals. if their clubs signs them, they don't care about it as if it won't weaken them.

After all, they must question their ambition considering they signed Nordtveit and Grillitsch to replace Süle and Rudy.

Seems like we can get him as early as January for around €10m.

If Wagner is signed by Bayern in January, he would not be cup-tied in the Champions League, despite playing in the qualifiers for Hoffenheim against Liverpool. [source]

I'm really not that impressed by him...but as a backup, as early as january and for only 10m, then that's a good deal

Bad for Hoffenheim, business and sportswise. But who cares, it's Hoffenheim, not Dortmund or other serious competitors in German football.
Hoffenheim has been embarrasing in the EuropaLeague, :coffee:

Sorry, but I'm quite certain that Wagner would not leave Hoffenheim for any other club than Bayern, at least not at this point.
