Lewandowski scored Poland's opening goal vs Armenia. Good to see both him and Muller playing well... hope they keep it up in the coming games.

Lewy casually scoring all of Poland's goals this NT break :coffee:
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.

Total ho for Thiago :P

Never understood why people thought he was the second best CF in the world. It was obvious that pep and bayern setup Lewandowski with so many good chances last season.

Both Lewandowski and Cavani were rated very similar before their big money move, however, Cavani became a winger for PSG and was ridiculed all these seasons. Now, with Zlatan gone, Cavani has scored 9 goals in 7 starts as the main CF in the French league. With a total of 13 goals this season.

Comparing Lewa and Cavani is ludicrous!

Lewandowski stats for Dortmund:

74goals/131 games
103/187

Cavani at Napoli

78/104
104/138

Cavani has played as a Winger essentially during his whole career at PSG, playing second fiddle to Zlatan. Now, without Zlatan, Cavani is getting good chances to score the way he did at napoli with 13 goals in 11 appearances without Aurier due to injury/suspension and Verratti due to injuries.

I think we should take this kinda stuff into consideration when talking about Lewy. Wish the data were more widely available.

Great post man. Everything is a sitter nowadays, guy in a full sprint has to dive between defenders for a fast cross and still beat the keeper, oh no he missed a sitter. Yeah.

Anyway, for anyone who thinks Lewy is overrated, hey why not just say he's Mandzukic tier, or Gomez tier with a slight bonus - the increased chance to go bonkers in a match and score a bag of world class goals. Might be easier to accept like that, just a good striker with an edge that makes him exciting to watch.

Yeah, now I'm talking!

AS much as people here credit Costa's play to Pep's tactics, the same should be said with Lewandowski.

Lewandowski is replaceable as Dortmund has shown already.
