Miro and Tommy have prefect professionalism and always give their best in training and games. While Renato "moans in training". Not an agenda against him, just disappointed.

Carlos Carvalhal vows to revive Renato Sanches at Swansea City
Spoiler: show
Carlos Carvalhal starts his Swansea stewardship determined to resurrect the career of countryman Renato Sanches.

Portugal midfielder Sanches has struggled since making his surprise season-long loan move from Bayern Munich in August, failing to score or provide an assist in 11 Swansea appearances.

Sanches has not started a game since Nov. 29, when he was ridiculed for passing a ball into an advertising hoarding at Chelsea with no Swans player in close attendance.

But Carvalhal said Sanches -- who was named the best young player at Euro 2016 and cost Bayern €35 million when he joined them from Benfica after Portugal had won that tournament -- will prove himself at Swansea under his management.

"I think he [Sanches] needs confidence," Carvalhal said, ahead of his Swansea bow at Watford. "It is easy to forget because he has played for Benfica and the Portuguese national team that he is still only a kid.

"He is still learning and I think he needs a role in the team. With time he will understand all the different roles the players have in the team.

"But he will be involved in the dynamic and, when he understands what we want, he will be a completely different player. We believe that."

I think this appointment will be crucial for Renato's season. His playing time will definitely increase with a Portuguese manager. Hopefully Renato will take his chance when it appears.

A Portuguese coach is a real stroke of luck for Renato Sanches. He won't have communication problems, he'll be backed by a coach who genuinely would like him to succeed and is possibly the turning point of his career. The ball is in his court now. Making the most out of situations like this is what separates men from boys.

Didn't watch the match but he played the full 90 and got a whoscored rating of 6.9 which is much higher than his average for Swansea.

He excelled for six (??) months as a sort of midfield libero at Benfica as well, right?

Our boy had to be subbed off after 32-mins .
The game was an FA cup encounter vs Notts County.
For the record the game ended 1-1, therefore a replay has to be played to determine which tm will go to the next stage.
