Congrats, first player that made me turn my opinion around by 180, in less than a season.
What a load of shit.

Not able to play a simple pass without taking on a defender, and failing at that 90% of the time.

He looked decent at the start. Never worth 120M, but decent. But this is just frustrating.

He's a scam. Tries the hard stuff all the time so that he looks good in highlight reels when he (rarely) pulls it off.

Flash news: I'd rather have 10 tap-ins than 9 wonder goals.

At least we have Müller in top-form back now.

Consider that he is - in all likelihood - the highest-paid player in the club's history.

The return on investment has been....underwhelming, to say the least.

Okay so we must’ve about hit the point where our management seriously consider signing him...

And he probably wouldn't be in this form had it not been for Coutinho. In a way think of it as a buy 1 get 1 free offer... well, loan.

Why's that?
It's mainly on Flick making this team play like a team again. He's not really working otherwise.
If you think it's because of competition, I didn't see this Müller when James was here (and we still had Robbery)

I don't know. I always felt like Coutinho was more of a direct competitor to Müller than James, and I still feel that the competition has helped Thomas give that extra percentage that makes a very notable difference.

Eh, Müller is pretty much set in the starting 11 for Flick and was since the beginning, even during the time when his form wasn't really that good.

It definitely does make sense. Completely different footballers, but both are final third output players, and neither have the midfielder mindset (James can play deeper). Even though I think comparing G+A is pointless in general, the comparisons you pulled earlier in the season still makes far more sense than anyone claiming Coutinho is a creative player.
