He is too old for a 120mn clause. Don't think paying that is reasonable at all. I like this signing a lot, but I don't think it's rational to buy him after one year. If he were 26, it would be a whole different story.

I guess 27 is the new 34.
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano

And to add a litte bit more - Hazard is going to turn 29 in the start of 2020.. Phil just turned 27 in June, so at the end of the season he's still going to be a 27 years old, which is not going to be the case for Neymar, Griezmann and Mane.

Latest rumors are that Barcelona are striking a loan deal for Neymar with obligation to buy next summer.

Could then see perhaps a discounted rate for Coutinho negotiated. Dunno how much the sell-fee for Neymar will be, but if they have to buy him next summer, obviously selling him for 90, 100m or so is better than us saying "no thanks" to 120m and sending him back to Barcelona for 0m and putting his salary back on their books. We'll see.

That would be great but Barcelona wins either way. If he plays great, they know we will buy him, if we dont buy him and he played great, another club will gladly take him. If he flops, we wont buy him, even if they lower the price to 60mil€, because of his wages.

Unless he helps us win everything, then we win.

I was huge fan of his during his Liverpool days. I almost decided to skip this seasons subscriptions, but I guess I gotta whip out the old Visa.

How many of those were transfered for 130m plus at that age?

If he returns to his Liverpool days, we'll be happy to splash the cash.

I also think his game will age well. You lose speed before you lose quickness. I don't think he depends on speed as much as quickness. Same reason I think Thiago will be a great player for many more years.

Why do you want Gnabry in this squad?
Douglas Costa was much better IMO and we got rid of him.
TBH I've never heard the name of Havertz but this forum.
