agreed... we need someone to kick the players egos down and get them in line... not someone who is afraid to speak out

Doesn't Effenberg have the reputation of an uneducated scruff? Kahn is well educated and an obvious better choice over Effenberg in my opinion.

Oh just think what you can get by threatening to release this after a 4-0 vs Milan...

Depends. Players need to respect the sporting director on basis of him as a person rather than on his career achievements. Someone like... *gulp* Schweinsteiger.

MUTU wrote:Yes, that's true, it can happen. I see it more likely than the Ribery transfer, especially because of the good striking partnership between Klose and Podolski in the German national team.
In the end they were both with us...

Sometimes I like to go and read the first pgs of any thread , especially those threads from when I was not aware of the forum.

That guy who said that bayern must start buying from outside Germany was prophetic as from the season that followed bayern started doing exactly that, Toni Ribery...

The ironic thing is, that with all the talent that German youth program has produced recently(seriously, it seems like we basically have two golden generations in a row), it's looking more and likely that in a few years it will theoretically be possible to build a team that challenges for the Champion League out of only Bundesliga players, not that I advocate a return to that strategy.

I had to go back to check about Klose's appearance in this final!!! What a shame he only came in the 67th min...

FC Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and Miroslav Klose have today reached an agreement for the 39-year-old world champion to coach the FCB U-17s as of this summer. The former Bayern forward and FCB have agreed a two-year contract through 30 June 2020. [source]

We need to bring people of Klose's repuation back into the club, which they have been doing very well. Eventually Schweinsteiger will be back with Lahm...and Muller.
This is a golden generation of possible members of the Bayern coaching staff and office work.
