Only hearing things about him. Described as an excellent defender on discussion boards everywhere.
Still has 3 years on his contract left, 3 years form next season that is. Plus Roma should get a guaranteed spot in CL.
Combine those three factors and the price goes over 30m.

Also, Italian clubs bargain hard, even Roma. Lamela went for 32m. Osvaldo for 17m. Marquinhos for 42 or was it 45?
25m is minimum where the bidding will start.

Also, what is with Roma getting two brilliant CBs?

I watched Roma many times this season because of Pjanic :) , and I must admit that Benatia is much better than Boateng, but not better than Dante, perhaps for him give a 30-33 million .....

I would absolutely love to sign him. He is great on the ball and very mobile. He has vision. I think he would help out Bayern. Personally I would sell Mandzukic for 20 million Euros, Kroos for 40 Million Euros then buy Benatia for 26 million Euros and Draxler for 35 Million Euros.

Probably the only good transfer rumour at the moment. Any more recent links?

We should make him our top target.

I saw some vids of him… I want to see this guy in the defense! ScoutNation says he has 89% pass completion which is better than Boateng's 85% pass completion(Bundesliga.com) and matches Dante, this should appeal to Guardiola. He has a Sergio Ramos style, which isn't bad.

[source]

Benatia spoke about his future. '' I don't wish to leave Rome but it is the club who has to decide; if there are some economic problems I'll do the best for the club, however I am willing to stay put.
The article continues by saying that Roma are too willing to confirm asap the Moroccan.

I believe that there are a list of teams interested in him.

I really want him because hes the most realistic potentially world class CB. We would all want Thiago Silva or Hummels but that's not happening by all intents and purposes hes the next best option.

On an italian sport prog when discussing Roma's future transfers they said this. Pjanic who has an expiring contract in June 2015 said that PSG are doing great things but he wouldn't mind joining Barca!
According to this prog, Roma has a rule that neither player can earn more then 3m a yr with the exception of De Rossi, Totti.
They claimed that Roma can sell in order to emulate Atletico; who they never spend and still managed to win the Eur league, super cup and are in this year's UCL final.

More hopes to sign Benatia

I really don't see the excitement in this player. Van Buyten moving on, and Badstuber still having to come back, then makes sense going for a CB, but just not sure about this guy

I can assure you he is WC. Besides he makes his duties as a CB, he can play the ball (a requirement to play under our current head coach) He is strong in the air, makes clean tackles, intelligent, strong in the air and score goals.

however my heart tells me that our new cb won't be him but the blond version of Dante... :!:
