I've said it before but it needs to be said again. Let me start by saying that I regard Neuer as the best German footballer of all time and the best goalkeeper of all time. However, he is currently performing well below Bayern quality. Not just currently, it's been all season. I have never seen a player come back from injury so far off his pre-injury form as Neuer. With a heavy heart I think we need him to retire. He is going to hold us back and stifle the development of Fruechtl.

The man, the mith, the legend at 19 years old - Früchtl. No one except some of the Bayern fans know him. Often injured and still unknown, there is already talk that he's going to be our main guy. That's scary.

And you have GK's on the same age like Lafont, Majecki, Lunin.

This season is over. Let's see if he gains back his form in the beginning of next season. It's not the time for the retirement of a player with his qualities.

YOU say that, but that's not reality. He's gaining reputation internationally, despite playing in the 4th league...

I hope so. I want the best for the kid, just at the moment I don't see all the positives that we can take from him. Yes, there should be a reason why he is playing in Bayern, but many people act like he's already beyond the average level and he's ready to take the wheel after Neuer.

Time will tell.

i'll admit that I get a little too hyped up on him - i am afraid he's becoming too injury-prone to be reliable. but i also think he has that certain something, a natural talent that could bring him to the top. i'm also really desperate for the next Bayern talent to break through with the senior team, so maybe that's why

KHR on Manuel Neuer: "He had two minor muscle injuries now, nothing serious. He is not prone to injury. He is still the best goalkeeper you can ask for and a great person. I think he will play here for a long time to come. He has a contract until 2021, but I'm sure he will extend. "
