There's no problem with him being Spanish: this is a great transfer. Just an (obviously failed) attempt at humour on my part.

Add an emoticon next time. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish sarcasm and just general dislike for Pep and Spain here.

I won't watch any videos of him. I'll only judge him based on his performance in our team. I hope he adds something.

Good luck, Bernat. You're a Bayern soldier now, be proud and responsible. :)

Pep is turning this team into Barcelona, don't you all see it? Why change everything and bring in only SPANISH players. PEP OUT! /sarcasm

I've taken a liking to this lad quite quickly. Seems very down to earth and eager to succeed. Really liking his attitude and I hope he does well for us.

lolz. Seriously it's tough to relay sarcasm here isn't it? On the one hand, sarcasm needs to be obvious. On the other hand, too obvious and then people misjudge you as an a** when you were just trying to be funny.

As an aside, and seriously straying from topic here, anyone else discover that they can't spell after they've left school? I've been out for a year and I had to google "subtly". In the end didn't use the word because that still looks wrong to me. I question the intelligence of the person who invented the english language, and German is not much better imo.

Also are you American or British? "humour" :D

Great performance from him yesterday. Robben, he and Gaudino the best players on the pitch yesterday! Keep going in that way! =D>

Agreed! And if we are going to play with 3 cb's in the future, i'm confident with bernat as a proper WB.

I watched the Hamburg v Bayern game a day after it was played - already knowing the score and taking everything in with a cold, unemotional eye. The game wasn't that bad - all credit to Hamburg's energetic pressing and solid defending. And I see no cause for undue concern. Bayern are the only team among the 4 German CL qualifiers still undefeated in all 3 major competitions this season. That said, it must also be admitted that there weren't many positives in the game either. The biggest one for me was Bernat. He is turning out to be a great purchase, and really offers a lot on the left side - in defense, in build up and in combining with Alaba and others. I would expect him to have a great career at Bayern. Bayern's future on the left now looks more like Alaba-Bernat than Alaba-Shaqiri.

I'll swallow back my initial criticism towards Bernat... Hopefully he can continue to improve.

Yeah, he impressed everyone in the last match. I know that we bought a talented, left-footed player for the future and this doesn't surprise me at all.

I supose Bernat will be just as good as they're saying he is and he will be.

I have to admit, i underestimated this guy a lot in pre season, because he simply sucked a lot there. But he proved me wrong big time if the first games this season, i hope he continues this Climbing line.
