He's not playing well long before this match, since that Camp Nou defeat basically.

I think ever since he arrived he had ups and downs... He's not stable... Happens with young players... I don't think it'*s anything to worry about yet - as long as he makes the right observations and evaluations of his performances...

I have faith in him, I like him a lot. He has so much potential and can really help us out this season even more than last year.

he's still young - only 22 - and he was really good last year. lest we forget, he was the surprise signing that turned out great. he'll be fine, especially if Alaba moves to midfield full time and Pep utilizes a LB

Bernat's really a factor in the club's decision to gamble on Badstuber's future here. If Alaba wasn't the complete player that he is, and without Bernat to cover Alaba's LB spot, the club would have been forced to part with Badstuber a couple seasons ago. Hopefully one of Benatia or Badstuber becomes a viable long term option, so Alaba can go back to just being our normal run-of-the-mill LB/CM joker.

He has potential, not ready yet for a starter role at Bayern but an excellent talent, defensively his is decent but unstable , offensively he needs to work very hard on his final ball and crosses at the moment his average offensively,he reminds me of Carvajal, small guy big heart and very solid defender(Carvajal is an exceptional defender) but very poor in terms of technique and crosses!

I see him as a perfect Alaba replacement, for a bench role and 12-18 games per season he is very good,it's on him to improve even further and challenge Alaba, I think Bernat is a hard worker so he is not very far to reach his limits after all he is very young for a defender, Alaba is phenomenon(LB,CM,CB age 23) unfair comparison for Bernat

I'm sorry, but Bernat isn't even remotely as reliable as Rafinha has been in the last 2 seasons...

All 3 are very, very quick players, and all 3 are either left footed or (in Franck's case) very good with both feet, wanting to get to the byline. Tough standard to live up to.

Perhaps the right would work for him; his countryman Azpilicueta has done very well switching form RB to LB and it would open a place for him in the future considering that our game seems to be best when Alaba is at LB.

Bernat is pretty fast. He's definitely fast enough, he's not smart enough though.

You silly man, there isn't a dumber player at Bayern than Rafinha, defensively moreso than offensively.

Rafinha has been far more solid than Bernat ...

Juan had a few good games in the 1st half of last season and his form went downhill after that...

Rafinha have a better position awareness and better defensive game and its not even close. Bernat is slightly better on offense, but even still, Rafinha's crosses are better.

Bernat is faster, better on possession and at dribbling, but Rafinha is more consistent and solid both on attack and defense.

i think rafinha is shit to be honest, our weakest link for a long time. hes out of his depth in champions league or even the top tier bundesliga teams for that matter. i was pushing to buy a new rb and drop him if guardiola kept insisting on putting lahm in midfield. bernat had an excellent year, not just first half in fact the opposite he got better as the season went on. rafinha is what he is hes solid enough cover to give lahm a rest against mid-low table teams and nothing more.

Come on man... He was great in his first season. I don't know WTF is wrong with him after the summer, but let's not turn him into our new Xabi...
