Kimmich always says the right things, he doesn't seem to have the hot head that Schweinstiger had at his age....

I think it is the right choice

Hope it's for real. Don't know why Joshua isn't getting the Rafinha minutes though. Makes me think he is not viewed as a RB by Carlo. Then again, it might be a case of him wanting to keep Rafinha happy...

I like that but am doubtful since Carlo seems to see him as a midfielder

He wasn't that good last night... but he's here to stay what is important.

He doesn't lack anything to become a great RB.
Fast & agile, physical, he can tackle and despite his height he jumps for headers, very strong on the ball as well.
Tactically speaking he has to learn a couple of things for sure compared to Lahm but he is already in a high level.
Offensively he can cross well and he has an eye for a goal, he tracks every vertical ball very well, with training he can perfect those skills which is the easy part, the difficult part is to become a balanced full back and consistency.

I really hope that they will give Kimmich the RB role and keep decent Rafihna as a back up for 10-15 games.

Except, Kimmich isn't really fast or agile. Nor is he tactically aware.

People are just forcing a way for Kimmich to start when in reality Bayern should of bought a replacement for Lahm a while ago.

He reminds me of Roberto, except Roberto is a lot more fluid, but not as good of a tackler.

Lahm is not fast or agile either. He's still the best RB the world has ever seen. Kimmich will come up good if given the chance. I have faith in him.

Lahm wasn't fast, but he was very agile. He also had very good tactically sense and crossing ability and defensively could match up against most wingers on his day. Also, Lahm like other fullbacks had elite stamina.

Right now, Kimmich is getting molded to become a utility player if anything. No set position, just putting him on the field to close the game defensively.

There are no good players in Germany except Neuer, others are rather mediocre... Germans are a GK nation and that's it.
