Not trying to be a party pooper, but i disagree. Other than the goal he did nothing in the match and he tries a lot of times (wasting a lot of attacking opportunities) for every goal.

He doesn't have an eye for a goal, most of his shots are miserably off target and many times he doesn't even raise his head before shooting and his finishing needs an improvement, Robben is a goalscorer, Ribery does have an for eye goal not D.Costa yet...

Douglas Costa is far from being complete but he is world class IMO phenomenal technique, great dribbler and he seems very good tactically,he tracks back in defense to help his parter and his crossing is quite good if Bayern manages to find a rythm with Douglas in it then he can become assist machine like Ribery in his prime. I don't think that he'll become anywhere good as Robben when it comes to goalscoring, finishing and that aura of leadership when the Dutchman is on the ball.

He will be complete when he will make most of his cross in another way.

His "good choice rate" seems average most of the time.

He and Coman have the physical qualities to be the best but right now not the football IQ like Ribéry, Robben.

A player like Brandt has this football IQ but not the same physical capabilities.
Neuer - Kimmich Boateng Hummels Alaba - James Thiago Goretzka - Robben Lewandowski Gnabry
Ulreich - Rafinha Martinez Süle Meier- Müller Tolisso Sanches - Coman Wagner Ribéry

In addition to @Coman post about the football IQ which I agree, in addition to that Douglas is 26-y and I already think he won't become better on his decision making or final ball but he can equalize that disadvantage by improving his accuracy & finishing by practice.

if he ends up with double double figures each season I'll be glad and he'll be worthy successor of Robbery, the main objective is if he can stabilize his goals to 12-15 in each season. Last year where he was phenomenal bagged only 7 goals and 18 assists, if he can double the goals then it would be perfect! This season he has already 4 goals but only 2 assists in all competitions of course he has some excuses such as being injured and Robbery being fit but I think I made my self clear about what we need from Douglas Costa! Nevertheless, great winger!

Our coach has no justice, Alonso always starts despite destroying our Bayern, Ribery will return to starting line up, even if Costa did great that week. l can understand Costa. Like l said before, MGT and Kalle should interfere to Carlo. Otherwise, nothing is impossible this season. We can even lose BL title, we can say goodbye to CL vs Arsenal.

l know some of you don't rate him high, however, it's hard to find a more dominate winger than him in the game.
